JPJ’s best bass line. Haven’t played it in a while actually.

Beatlebug, ewe2I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Ooh yes, that is a good one. I love how the bass is kind of the lead instrument for most of the song.

I’ve been learning Over The Hills And Far Away and Wish You Were Here on guitar today. That was fab.Awesome choices! I need to learn Over The Hills…
Coincidentally, I was just learning a bit of ‘Ten Years Gone’ the other day. Such a good song, but I don’t know if I can sing it…

^^Wow, that’s a really cool song to learn, the chords are so great! And the electric guitar part must be so much fun to play with all its energy! Well, our music teacher always recommends singing songs like that where one needs a raw voice (at least partly) early in the morning when one still feels a little sleepy because apparently, one’s voice sounds rougher then.
…or alternatively after a bottle of whisky, it’s up to you.

Haha I’ll skip the whiskey, thanks. Even though that would be a properly Zeppelinish thing to do…
What I meant was, I don’t think I can play it and sing it at the same time. I find that to be a problem with many Zeppelin songs, because they didn’t have to worry about it.

Yeah, frankly a lot of Zepplin songs are almost scat-singing along because the music is often standalone. I’ve never seen anyone play bass and sing a Zepplin song, but there are still a few you can just play rhythm to and sing.

Over the next few days I’ll be packing and getting ready for Dragon*Con in Atlanta. It’s a huge pop-culture convention that also has a parade, which I’ll be in. I’ll be dressed as either the Fourth Doctor’s companion Leela, or the Thirteenth Doctor.
So excited.

I had two and a half days off work but am now working them and so seven days in a row for just short of 80 hours in total. I am knackered and still have 29 hours to go.
Thankfully after Sunday, I have 6 1/2 days off in 8 and then I go on holiday for 12 days. Well, that’s the plan but will no doubt fall thru.
Yesterday I covered the back shift at work.

I know a New Yorker who does quite a good 6 or 11 Doctor. He’s got the gear to do 4 but doesn’t quite look the part!

I knew a lot of people who went to dragoncon every year, but I’ve never gone. No doubt there will be plenty of Game Of Thrones costumes.

Only thing I got going for me with Thirteen is I maybe have close to the right hair length, lol. And I’m a brunette with some graying roots. =)

It’s been one of those marvellous pre-autumn days when the air puts witcherie in your blood and you open the windows and the day seems more magical. Autumn rocks in the South.

My knees and kegs feel like they are supporting the heaviest hippopotamus ever known.
On the plus side I am the owner of a lovely dining table and two chairs.
On the negative side, after I have bought two more of the same chairs, I will paid a fortune* for a dining table and four chairs. It is lovely tho, weighs a ton, and should last years. If I don’t die before my table does I will be disappointed.
*Yet still cheaper than an official Beatles watch. Apple really do know how to get their fans by their wallets.

Yahoo Mail has been improved and upgraded.
Which in normal language means they have moved things about a bit, given it a paint, and made it more annoying than it was before. If I wasn’t so lazy I’d have moved years ago. Thank goodness Yahoo don’t sell watches.

So it’s the 1st of September, and I’ve been longing to say this for a long time:
Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter. Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here: Here Comes The Sun , doo doo doo doo! Here Comes The Sun , and I say, IT’S ALRIGHT!
Now all I want is for the weather to warm up!
