Today is my last day at my job.
That door is closed. The window you mentioned in a previous post is opening. How exciting scary relaxing interesting your life must be at this point. I wish you all the best.
Things at the J-O-B are finally leveling off. Being able to analyze client data instead of just grabbing it and sending it off is sooooooooooooooooo refreshing. Proactive kicks Reactive’s ass every day of the week!
Personal commitments are ebbing as well. Me n the Missus are enjoying the sudden glut of free time. More time for enjoying each other, reading, WATCHING BASEBALL!!! (having a wife who loves baseball as much as I do borders on orgasmic), hanging out with friends at the local watering hole, etc… I get to spend more time here as well. All of a sudden, life is…

Get better, @Midori78! @The Hole Got Fixed, I’m pretty sure there are some Bibler originals threads somewhere… a ‘Have you written any songs?’ thread, and non-Beatles covers, but I don’t think there is a general ‘I have music on the Internet if you wanna hear it’ thread.

I’m having one of my creative “rests” at the moment, but I’ve been enjoying practising bass again. Lately I’ve been playing along to an obscure comedy album called 439 Golden Greats by the Heebeegeebees. One of their songs was so popular here in the late 70’s it made the charts. Here’s some terrible lip synching from them:
It does make me miss bands though.

Good luck in this new phase of life, Expert Textpert! And it’s really great to hear things are going so well, Zig. (Especially, because that means you are on the forum more often again.

I’ve been spending the last days in Berlin with my family and it has been such a nice time. I know I should probably be in awe of all the great buildings and historic monuments we visited, but what actually fascinated me the most was the diversity I encountered in this huge city (more than three million inhabitants, that’s the largest city I’ve ever been to). There were so many different people from different backgrounds and cultures some with the most exceptional clothes, some with ten bodyguards behind them, and some playing electric guitar on the street – all things I would’ve never seen in my relatively small hometown, I found that awesome.
What was also great was that my family and me got along together as well as we haven’t in ages.
And, since I listened to Abbey Road on the rooftop of an hotel at night a while ago (which I had legally entered), I decided to make a tradition out of it and this time I gave Revolver a listen. At the beginning, it was so eerie: imagine sitting there in the pitch dark, glancing at a lake and hearing this spooky count-in at the beginning of Taxman . But then, as Tomorrow Never Knows faded out, I felt like I was one with the darkness, really floating upstream. That was Revolver in all its mind blowing glory!
To end this excruciatingly long post, I just wanted to remark that the BB will probably been overrun by Berlins soon
…
(Please apologise this atrocious Bowie/Lennon drawing I made and also the bad quality of the photo. I placed this scribble on a part of the Berlin Wall called Mauerpark in Prenzlauer Berg just so you know in case someone of you should go there by coincidence)

I should be getting up early on Saturday though because there might possibly be a boot sale on that morning.
Turns out it was cancelled because of the RAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIN in the early hours of this morning, which made the ground muddy. Bit disappointed, but nevertheless, we might try again in a few weeks.

Glad you’re having fun @Martha! I can’t wait to give Revolver its anniversary listen. And The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn too!
I was getting dressed and attempting to channel Syd Barrett in my choice of raiment in honour of the anniversary, because I do things like that, and I have Finally Realised the Secret of the Casually Flamboyant Hippie Cravat! (As exemplified below)
Turns out, a simple square knot under the collar conveys that vibe perfectly well…

I’ve been sleeping in lately, today i didn’t wake up until after noon, this reminds me of a Beatles song.
Haven’t been on the forum much because of this. Woke up at 4 PM today, then I go out at night stay up until the morning getting drunk. I guess I need to take it easy.

None of me and my friends are 18 so it’s usually an older sibling who gets us alcohol.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Almost goodbye, @Martha! Have a great time as well!
I need to hand in papers that decide my life for the next two years and also significantly influence my entire life this week. Yep, I need to pick my subjects for my last two years of high school. I’ve been drowning in paper the last 4 days…
If I meet someone who like paperwork…

My older sister got married yesterday.
I played four songs on guitar during the ceremony.
Canon in D – Johann Pachelbel (sometime between 1680 and 1706) – as she walked down the aisle.
Here Comes The Sun – The Beatles (1969) – at the end of the ceremony.
Pressed Rat and Warthog – Cream (1968, I have no idea how I got away with this one) – as people were leaving.
Peggy Sue – Buddy Holly (1957) – as people were leaving.
