I’ll be going away to my grandparents’ place tomorrow, so I might be on less than normal for a few days.

Late to the party, but musescore is the best software I’ve found, @QuarryMan.

Not sure if this should go in this thread but hey ho, I’m sure there are some fellow classical lovers among us. Does anybody know any good music composition software? I don’t mean recording software like Logic, just a programme where one can write sheet music and play it back? I’ve always used Sibelius (the software not the composer) as we have it at my school but I’m not carrying on music after this year, and plus I can’t stand the violin sound on it. So any ideas?

I used this online editor “noteflight” a few times and it was ok. Though i only did scores for one instrument , guitar studies mostly. Dunno how it’ll work if you try a big orchestration , or if that could be possible without any upgrade or whatever.
I found it usefull as it is online and don’t need to install no heavy software on your computer.

Notefligh recently changed to the HTML editor. For new users it is a little daunting, but once you get the hang of it, you can score and arrange any music you want. I’ve made multiple accounts to bypass the ten score limit. I strongly recommend using it if you don’t want to pay any money.

If any of you remember me crashing my car and breaking my keyboard, I have an update:

we took it to an electronics store and they can fix it! Pretty cheap too. I have since bought a newer and much nicer keyboard, but now I have two. And the original has a lot of personal value.

So I got home today from the family trip to find that after all that trouble with getting my car fixed, the battery is now dead. Good news is that it will be fixed tomorrow.

Something ‘s up at the Post Office. Been closed since Wednesday, which meant I’ve had no money.

I needed to top up my interweb. blue-meanie

Wednesday evening, they were shut, but I just thought they’d closed early. They sometimes do.

Went round there lunchtime yesterday, still shut.

Same again today. blue-meanie

Finally have to give in and do the long walk with the big hill to the Post Office at Cotmandene. Too darn hot to be walking for an hour and up that barsteward of a hill.

Still, I have interwebby again, food, and a nice cold cider – even if I am half-dead and dripping in sweat.

Day 327 5 (and final!)

I have to say the most exciting of all days! The till was not a bad experience actually. I whispered “peace and love” to myself at midday, because I didn’t want to get any weird looks if I shouted it out. a-hard-days-night-ringo-12 Sat down underneath the trees again to eat my lunch. Very shady, and not that many people took notice, which was okay. I was glad to get out of the shop at 4pm, because I have time to myself once again. I was humming Sloop John B to myself on the way home (“I want go home”), but not necessarily the worst trip I’ve ever been on.

That’s great to hear @sir walter raleigh now you can play an organ part with one hand and a piano part with another hand.

Hope they reopen the post office soon @Ron Nasty so you can get your money.

As for me, i decided to install Windows 10 extra lite on my ASUS essentio CM5570 desktop originally designed for Windows 7 and it works fine so far. The best part is that it only uses up 6MB of space so it should boot very quickly.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

If we’re selling unnecessary body parts in exchange for money, i’ll give you one kidney, one lung, and my appendix for a vintage left handed pre-CBS Fender Stratocaster. If it’s a 1957 sonic blue model, i’ll throw in my other kidney.

stay-on-topic

Joking aside, you could probably go on boat for cheaper @WeepingAtlasCedars although i doubt $40 will cut it.

^ Best I can do is a 1977 model, I’m afraid. Your appendix is useless to me but I will accept one lung and one kidney in exchange for it.
