I’m neutral-to-positive about it. We technically moved out back in April, but I’ve just never found occasion to mention it here before. I’m currently living at a relative’s house because we don’t close for a couple weeks.

I had one hell of a day. Because my mother took away my brother’s laptop, I got really pissed off and started punching walls so I decided to go out for the day. First, I went to the mall and walked around and had lunch, although due to me constantly thinking about you guys, I was only able to eat 9 out of the 13 tacos I got from Taco Bell. Then I went to the Guitar Center. First I grabbed the Strat and played Back In The USSR , Rock And Roll Band, Iron Man, Eruption, Tie Your Mother Down, and Bohemian Rhapsody and then I went to the drums and looked around for awhile and decided to go to the acoustic guitar room where I grabbed the Fender acoustic and played a selection of Beatles hits in full, which in order is:I Feel Fine (used lefty acoustic electric)
Ticket To Ride (sang as well)
Help !
Yesterday (sang as well, didn’t detune guitar so it sounded a step sharp)
Nowhere Man (sang as well)
Here, There, And Everywhere
Eleanor Rigby (sang as well)
Strawberry Fields Forever (used lefty acoustic electric)
And I Love Her (used righty classical and played George’s part unlike John’s part which I did for the other songs)
A Day In The Life (sang as well)
One of the best parts was when I was halfway through I Am The Walrus , someone grabbed a guitar and jammed along, I wonder if he was aware was the song was.
After that I went to Target and bought myself something to eat and then walked home. It was fun although I was constantly thinking about you guys and how I love you and miss you and wish you were here but until I get the balls to move out, it’s just me.
Eruption? As in, van halen? Dude you must be amazing! I’m a pretty confident guitarist in terms of feel, melody and improvisation but I’ve never been able to master flat out speed. Then again, I don’t want to all that much, since my favourite guitar style is that of The Smith’s Johnny Marr which is a jangly, Byrds/If I Needed Someone -esque chime and very much anti guitar solo.

Wow. That’s pretty awesome man, you sound like a killer guitarist. My electric guitar (Burny les paul replica) is currently missing two strings but when I get it in order I’m gonna attempt some more complex stuff, starting with the rest of the Stairway To Heaven solo.

Yes! I need to learn that one. I’ve learnt the whole rest of the song but I have a hard time with fast runs.
Had a good band practise today.
At the shop, I saw Life magazine had a special edition on Paul at 75, and naturally picked it up and flipped through it whilst walking around the shop. Silly Dad was like, ‘Where’s the texting and/or WhatsApp and/or Snapchat?’ (jokingly, since I do not use any of those).

Didn’t get to practice much guitar at school today because of people walking back and forth and the noise coming from other rooms of other people practising I did, however, attempt to play the opening riff of All My Sorrows by The Shadows in the midst of it all (I played it in the key of A though, when the original version is in C!)

Have you tried playing the main solo (there’s 2 of them, I’m assuming you’re referring to the one that starts off the heavy section and not the one that ends the song) at half speed. For me, it’s more about remembering what notes to play and since I don’t have a problem playing this solo, it’s hard to say. Another thing you can do is improvise around the parts that you’re unsure of, improvisation is great and even some of the best guitarists of all time do it, such as Brian May during his Brighton Rock solos live and George Harrison improv’d most of the solos up until Can’t Buy Me Love .
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Not properly… I suppose I should.
I thought that was the only proper what I consider guitar solo in the song. You’re not talking about the short acoustic break right before the first ‘And it makes me wonder’, are you?

I’ve done that, but I’d like to learn it properly. I think it’d be a good thing to do.

Got a nice scare earlier.
Was frumbling around on the laptop, and I suddenly noticed I was running on battery, starting to catch up after two days of feeling s***e. It was down to 44%.
Bugger! I thought.
I unplugged the mains lead and plugged it in again. Nothing.
Bugger! I thought again.
Then I remembered I have a spare. Luckily. Went on the London meet Ahhh Family mini-break with me. Where the feck did I put that?
Found it! Battery now back up to 89%.

Craziness.
I was in an uber on the way home from a party at 2:00 AM, and just before my house the driver stops in front of a girl, around my age, wearing a local school’s sweatshirt, asleep in the street.
Just lying in the middle of the street asleep.
So I get out to wake her up, and after pushing her for a bit she wakes up and a knife falls out of her lap as she is standing up. I quickly grabbed the knife and started asking her what any ordinary person would ask.
“Who are you?”
“Where do you live?”
“Why are you sleeping in the street with this knife?”
She says she’s fine, and wanders off further down the road and goes back to sleep. I wake her up again, and ask if she needs a place to stay, (because it was right in front of my house) and she just gets back up and runs down the road. She looked like she was f****d up on something, but I’m not sure what.
So I decide its best to forget about it and start walking home. I call my friend and explain to him the story, and while I’m talking to him, I look down at the knife and see the edge covered in blood.
Seeing this, I immediately run back down the road to find her and see if she is wounded or something, but it is too dark. So my friend recommended I wake up my dad, and search for her.
My dad wakes up and after hearing the story takes me in his car, and we didn’t go 100 yards down the road before finding her asleep again in the street. My dad gets out and wakes her up and she responds to him, as he is an adult.
We figure out from her that she is right in front of her own house, so my dad takes her up the driveway, and she gets out and goes inside.
Once she started talking, she explained to my dad that she was super drunk and was trying to get picked up by her boyfriend.
We dropped her at her house and went home to double check all of the information. We looked her family up in the neighborhood directly, and it seems like she was telling the truth. My dad said he would get in touch with her parents in the morning.
Still no answers about the knife.

That is one crazy story, @sir walter raleigh . Horror movie material!
About my life, I’m not having a very good time at the moment. I’m quite an introverted and depressive individual and only trust a few people. And one of these people has stabbed me in the back without actually knowing. Needless to say im throwing myself into the forum to keep myself busy.

Wow, scary story sir walter raleigh! But you acted honourably!
I’m so sorry to hear that @QuarryMan! I can understand you 100% – have experienced exactly the same a while ago and it hurts so much. Hopefully, the fab four and we Forumpudlians manage to cheer you up a bit? Because you’re great company!
Update on my life: I’ve fallen in love. With my guitar!
