I spent five hours today sitting on a stall at an outdoor boot sale bored to tears and only made £2.20 from a few of my old toys being sold. The people had the radio station Smooth Classics on, who were doing a countdown of top 500 songs playlist. Included in that playlist were Eleanor Rigby and Good Vibrations, both of which songs cheered me up. However, towards the end of the sale, I was gazing up at the blue sky and clouds when Gerry And The Pacemakers’ version of You’ll Never Walk Alone came on. I felt like that was a very peaceful and enlightening moment for me.
That moment happened again today. Instead this time it was to David Bowie’s Life On Mars.

I haven’t showed up in some time for no particular reason but I remember promising an update on an art project, though I doubt anyone remember that. I ended up making a poster with coins on it as the theme was change and I like puns. More Beatles related things in my life… Well as it may seem, I’m in Liverpool. I got the trip as a gift from all my relatives and so far it’s pretty darn awesome!

Totaled my car in an accident on the highway. Besides a mild head injury (probably a concussion) and some pain in the collar bone from where the seatbelt tugged me, I am alright. I’m sitting in the hospital now.
I’m really pissed about it because I was on the way hone from UGA where I had just played a concert, so I had my keyboard, amp, and other equipment in the trunk which is now broken. It was my fault too. I just didn’t see this big truck in front of me slowing down. The rain had a lot to do with it as well.
But my dad said not to worry as long as i’m ok. “We can always replace a keyboard or a car, and I hated that car anyway. Another silver lining is that the my head looks pretty badass with a big bloody bruise on my forehead.

Oh no, that’s absolutely horrible @sir walter raleigh! Thank god you are not more seriously injured!
Hopefully, you will get better soon and will be able to replace the keyboard and all the equipment!

Alright I will tell you. Bare in mind I might tell you in too much detail, I tend to blabber a lot.
Day 1. Friday afternoon I left my geography class early to go to the airport with my dad. At dinner time we arrived in Manchester, and then we had to take the train to Liverpool. When we arrived we had to walk to the hotel, it only took us about twenty minutes but gave me a bad impression as we walked through quite a boring area.
Day 2. Saturday morning we put on our best, and only, Beatles T-shirts and went down to have breakfast at the hotel, it was nice but I like American bacon more than the British type. After breakfast we wandered around in the city. Walking to the city center and branching out to find some groovy second hand stores, where we bought nothing. For lunch we had toast and then we went to pick up our tickets for the Magical Mystery Tour . Before boarding the bus we talked a bit to a lady from New York, she told us about when she was a kid watching the Beatles on TV. Then the tour began, the guide was great but spoke a bit too fast sometimes. Luckily I already knew most of what he was saying, though I did learn a thing or two. Between the talking they played Beatles songs and you could hear passengers singing along, among them my dad who failed to know the right lyrics. Worth mentioning I think is also the most adorable little Beatles fan, all the way from America came the most adorable two year old yellow submarine fan. The ticket also included going to the cavern, we stayed there for a bit listening to live music. We stayed long enough to hear Hey Jude , Yesterday , I Saw Her Standing There , Can’t Buy Me Love , and three non-Beatles songs. Then it got too loud and we had to go. Now I wish my ears were less sensitive because it was an awesome feeling being there! Anyways, we went for dinner at an Italian place and I had the second best lasagna ever, my mothers being number one.
Day 3. We had breakfast at the hotel once again before heading to the Beatles story museum. The museum was not quite as amusing as the mystery tour but it was still lovely. I liked how the rooms were built and how colorful it was. At about two we had afternoon tea, which was delicious. Then, when walking towards home we stumbled upon this weird looking thing, like a spikey, graybouncy castle. Turns out it was a sort of an interactive sculpture. So we payed and walked in, it was like a big, plasticy tent labyrinth. It had smaller areas of coloured walls and when the sun was shining the light came through in the coolest way! As a celebration of Sgt. Pepper , they had performances in there too. My favourite was a guy telling stories, we heard one about how he fell in love with a meter maid, and one about how his daughter ran away from home. For dinner we had tapas and now we’re back at the hotel.
Tomorrow I don’t know what we’ll be doing except going back at about three. Now I hope that wasn’t too much, and if you have any suggestions for what to do for a few hours feel free to tell me.

I think you should try to visit @Ron Nasty maybe he would show you around town and let you learn even more than just going to the sites would do and maybe if you’re lucky, he might even let you in his house for a cup of tea and a nice discussion about something over a Beatles record. Just ask him to PM you some information as well as PM him some information as well so you guys know where to meet up, all I know is his first name, initials, what he looks like, and his date of birth.
If Ron Nasty rejects your offer, then I recommend going to the Bag O’ Nails club and eating steak, chips, and mushy peas, just like Paul and Mal used to do back in the 1960’s after recording sessions.

I’d love to do that, though I think my father would be opposed to me meeting up with someone I’ve only had short conversations with on the Internet, as I’m still quite young. But we might just do the eating thing so thanks for the suggestion

There’s probably a way around it. I’ll be honest, my parents would be pissed off if they knew that I was using the forum, especially know that I’m being more honest instead of claiming that I was born in 1967 and used to work at a record store and drink a lot.
Here is a possible scenario, it was originally going to be 2 but since the 2 connect together so well, I thought it would fit better as one:
piggylane: Man do I really need to take a piss or what.
daddylane: Alright then, you can go but please don’t be long.
piggylane: I won’t.
piggylane then proceeds to walk to an area where he then meets Ron Nasty.
piggylane: Ron Nasty, is that you.
Ron Nasty: There you are piggylane, want to talk about something.
piggylane: Here’s some money, we’re going to be at the Bag O’ Nails club for dinner, I want you to spend this money and buy us dinner so we can talk over dinner.
Ron Nasty: Bloody hell, that idea is bollocks, but it’s worth a shot, it’s a deal as long as I get to keep the change.
piggylane: Sounds good to me, so here’s the plan. We go in the restaurant, and then when you notice us you offer to buy us dinner and we say yes so then you have us sit down at a table with you and then you bring up something about The Beatles, how about Hey lad, did you know that Paul McCartney played a guitar solo on Being For The Benefit Of Mr. Kite and then I’ll say something like no, tell me more and then we can have a full on conversation.
Ron Nasty: Alright then, see you there.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

That’s terrible, @sir walter raleigh! It’s lucky your injuries weren’t more serious! On the plus side, if you didn’t like the car, you can now choose a better one! There’s no way you can drive around in that!

Hope you heal quickly, @sir walter raleigh. I totaled my car three weeks before my wedding. The elderly couple I hit didn’t get hurt, thankfully. They were consoling me. I was a basket case.
@piggylane, Ron Nasty lives in London, not Liverpool.
As far as what to do in Liverpool, take your pick from this thread https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..es-places/

Hopefully we get some good money from State Farm, although I am to blame for the collision so the rates will skyrocket, which sucks. I consider myself lucky to be alive, especially because the airbags didn’t deploy on impact, so there was nothing stopping my head from slamming against the wheel. Looking back, it is awesome that I came away with a banged up head and some scrapes and bruises. It certainly could have been a lot worse.

@sir walter raleigh I’m sorry to hear about your equipment*, but I’m glad you got out in one piece. It’s cool that you played a concert at UGA, it’s in my family history.
@piggylane Sounds like you’re having a great time!

Fortunately my blue Telecaster was not in the car. But i’ve had that piano for 6 years and I am extremely attached to it. Seeing the broken keys was devestating. I’m praying it will be possible to repair it without spending too much, but I fear some of the electronics were also damaged.
@Beatlebug you would like my keyboard.

I had my hair in little braids (a dozen of them… I counted ) for about five days, and when I took them out, my hair had lost any pretense of straightness it may ever have affected, and now resembles something between this

It’s not extensive damage, just localised damage. Chances are, it should be able to be fixed.
Hopefully the holes get fixed!
