Not even coughing yet, just at the dizzy, sleeping 10hrs a day, snotmachine stage. It’s feverish, that’s how I know its not just a cold.
I'm like Necko only I'm a bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin and also everyone. Or is everyone me? Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

There are websites that allow you to search music based on a melody you hum.

I finally graduated high school!! I happily welcome back my free time. Well. Until I get a job. But that won’t be until August at least, so I have a while to relax.

@moriz: congratulations! Hopefully this means you can insert more Beatles in your life!
@BackInTheUSSR: Really? You can search soundcloud by humming? I didn’t know that!

I wonder if it work with my guitar as well, that’d be cool if it detected that you’re playing The Wind Cries Mary or Yer Blues .

Midomi is my favorite. If you’ve got an Android phone, Google can do it for you.

Quick update : We have applied for HKL’s permanent visa. It took 6 hours to complete the forms and included 50 attachments we had prepared previously – phew!
She now has a ‘bridging visa’ which allows her to stay in Oz until a decision is made on the application. This could take up to 18 months.

Congratulations, @moriz!
@trcanberra, that’s great! Good luck!
I’m finally back from camp. It was cold, windy, wet and tiring but overall still good. I missed the forum terribly while I was gone!
Strangely enough, I have 64 threads with unread posts from four days away, but not too long ago I had 91-ish unread from two. The forum works in mysterious ways…

Lots of luck with the application you too, @trcanberra and @HongKongLady! That’s wonderful news, really!
And also cool to hear your camp went fine @WeepingAtlasCedars!
I’ve spent the last couple of days on a masterclass for classical saxophone and it has been very inspiring! Exhausting, but inspiring. We’ve watched the first performance of a contemporary piece for boy’s choir and saxophone quartet, had a lecture about playing and composing music by the composer of the above piece and of course we met many new people and made music together.
Now there will be the final concert and then I’ll go home again!

Slowly resurfacing after several months of barely visiting the forum… My Liverpool trip is starting to take shape. I haven’t reserved my National Trust tour yet – because October hasn’t been added to the calendar yet – but I’ve already worked out two long bicycle tours through Liverpool and two long walks as well. I’m going to climb the tower of Liverpool Cathedral – which is across the road from the Inny and 3 Gambier Terrace – on my birthday. I love views, heights, and sunsets so to combine the three will be a really great experience. All in all, it’ll be 5 days of Beatley goodness and the best Liverpool has to offer, so I can hardly wait!

I always thought the saxophone was a jazz instrument, I never realized there are classical players, but then again, there’s an orchestra with a typewriter.
I hope The Beatles have taught you an important lesson, saxophones shouldn’t replace the lead guitarist in a band. The Beatles knew this very well, only offering us 2 sax solos in their career but other artists like Billy Joel forgot this very important lesson.

I don’t get it, what’s not true.
Saxophones are a great soloist instrument in rock music. I don’t see why you think that they shouldn’t replace guitarists in rock bands. Some of the best solos ever are by saxophones.
