My younger brother actually decided to go my computer while I was still logged in but was not in the room, he’s mentally retarded and has serious behavior issues so I’m sorry if he posted anything here, I sure hope not, I would be really pissed off if he did.

I spent five hours today sitting on a stall at an outdoor boot sale bored to tears and only made £2.20 from a few of my old toys being sold. The people had the radio station Smooth Classics on, who were doing a countdown of top 500 songs playlist. Included in that playlist were Eleanor Rigby and Good Vibrations, both of which songs cheered me up. However, towards the end of the sale, I was gazing up at the blue sky and clouds when Gerry And The Pacemakers’ version of You’ll Never Walk Alone came on. I felt like that was a very peaceful and enlightening moment for me.

My Facebook account got hacked last night. We got back from our sight-seeing in Paris at 10 minutes past midnight. I was up until 2:15 working on getting control of my Facebook account. What a way to spend part of my vacation time in Paris. paul-mccartney

Easter was good, so was my birthday. Had friends over and we had a great time together, got some nice presents..

Also, I had my first day at my new job (decided to apply for some jobs on the side as I have plenty of time next to my study anyway. It’s at a large interior store) in that week on Thursday. So far so good, but I’m very insecure about it. I’m one of those people who wants to be able to do everything perfectly immediately.

Busy day today, with a lot to say goodbye to.

I am on the way to church for Youth Sunday, which is led by the youth and includes senior reflection, one of which will be given by me. It is a traditional church typically with choir singing and organ, but today we are given liberty on what music we can play. My friends and I will be playing The Circle Game by Joni Mitchell, You Can Tell The World by Simon & Garfunkel, and Morning Has Broken, a hymn, but we are doing Cat Stevens’s arrangement.

Then I’m off to school for the final ensemble concert, a group I have been a part of for 3 years. I have a solo on In My Life

Then back to church for the final choir concert, which I have been a part of since 6th grade. As a solo, I will sing The Call by Ralph Vaughan Williams.

It is going to be sad, but exciting at the same time.

Why no Beatles in church if you get to pick whatever you want.

I tried….and failed… to get Paul McCartney tickets for a show he is doing in July that is only 20 minutes away from where I live.

There was a waiting room. There were some 59.00 tickets that went in the first 5 minutes of going on sale. I was at work and only had my cellphone. I had no chance.

Ugh. paul-mccartney

My older sister is getting married in August. (This is not new news – they got engaged in February. I just haven’t brought it up on the forum before.)

Today she texted me. She asked me if I could play a couple of songs on acoustic guitar during the ceremony.

“Which two Metallica songs do you want me to play?” I joked.

She isn’t really settled on which songs she wants. She was thinking Here Comes The Sun . Here Comes The Bride when she walks down the aisle.

I asked her “What are the lyrics? These?

Here comes the bride, all fat and wide

Here comes the groom, as skinny as a broom

…because those are the only lyrics I know.”

I don’t know why people call me a smartass.

We had a grand time in Walt Disney World. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif I wasn’t really that excited at first, but I got into it eventually. I took loads of photos, although — me being me — they are mostly of cool plants and random bits of scenery. ahdn_george_06 Silly Mum took all the proper, WDW-tourist-y pics, the character ones and whatnot (I could have done without that, honestly — can’t you see I’m eating breakfast here, leave me alone! I identify with Grumpy in the mornings).

Sometimes I feel like she got into the whole thing more than us kids, but I think she’s just more effusive. I did enjoy everything immensely, even standing in line.

I decided to listen to the Beatles canon in chronological order on the drive home, since, according to the BB, it’s about nine hours’ worth of music and the drive was about nine hours, but I took too many breaks and only got to the beginning of Abbey Road . a-hard-days-night-paul-7

Am I ever glad to be home, though! Of course the first thing I did upon stepping in the door was make a beeline to my room to hug my guitars a-hard-days-night-george-9heart which I stupidly DIDN’T BRING. paul-mccartney-facepalm_gif

Glad you had a good time, Silly Girl.

By coincidence, I watched a Modern Marvels episode on Walt Disney World today. I thought about adding something to Things We Learned Today on it, but on second thought, forget it.

Best of luck WeepyC. If you get nervous, just imagine that the entire audience is naked.

I don’t know if imagining your audience naked would be very helpful, especially as it’s bound to be full of parents and grandparents a-hard-days-night-paul-10 but I’m sure you’ll be fine. Just remember to read SLOWLY (quite hard to do when nervous — I can personally attest to this).

Or just imagine your audience is John and Yoko two-virgins
a-hard-days-night-john-6 a-hard-days-night-george-10

Edit: Oh my GOSH, the random ???s were weird. Edited out now.

I once had to do a speech in front of my whole year in Secondary School (aged about 14 at the time) as part of some group project. We had planned it out so it lasted 5 minutes and so many seconds as that was the specified length. I read it out in under 4 minutes and no one had a clue what I said. I blame the idiots who nominated me.a-hard-days-night-george-4

For all six of my speeches in front of my whole school, I’ve always used about 75% of my allotted time because I rushed. Don’t fall into that trap!!!
