Hopefully, your uncle will be better as soon as possible @Necko ! Some to him and you!

Met up with the marvellous @Hannah for a drink this evening. Always a delight, even when being told off for being an insecure dick!
I think a good time was had, though there was a lot of deep talk.
Stopped off at Tesco’s on the way home as I had to go past. So a little alcohol, some proper food, along with some snacky munchies, of which @Starr Shine? might be jealous…
170g Toffee Nut Latte Popcorn with Belgian White Chocolate (Creamy coffee flavoured toffee popcorn with hazelnut nibs and hand-drizzled Belgian white chocolate);
170g Fiery Ginger Popcorn with Sweet, Crisp Apple Slices (Smooth and warming ginger spiced toffee popcorn, tumbled with sweet, crisp apple slices);
170g Peppermint Dream Popcorn with Belgian White Chocolate (Smooth mint toffee popcorn, sprinkled with mint leaves and hand-drizzled Belgian white chocolate);
170g Strawberry & Dark Chocolate Popcorn with a Kick of Black Pepper (Smooth toffee popcorn with with sweet strawberry pieces, cracked black pepper and hand-drizzled Belgian dark chocolate)
I really don’t get out enough. Got to get out more.

Kind of pissed off right now, I have to say though, you guys are my only friends, which is weird considering how varied your ages and location is. I like it though, no one would’ve thought that I could friends with some random guy from who knows where on the internet. As for you Ahhh Girl, I think you will like this shirtless Paul from his cute days as the cute boy in his 20’s from back in 1968, playing Blackbird on his 1967 Martin D-28.
Fun fact: Helter Skelter was originally played on an acoustic guitar.

Hannah is a really, really cool Beatles fan who is in the London area. I got to meet her on both of my previous trips to the UK. Unfortunately, I won’t get to see her this year. 🙁
She was active on the forum a few years back. I hope she will rejoin us sometime.

Isn’t anthology Helter Skelter an acoustic version?

Actually when you think of it, Helter Skelter isn’t as heavy as you think and isn’t even the heaviest Beatles song.
At first, it was Paul on his Martin D-28, then we have the extremely long blues rock takes, and then we have the finished product, which contains this instrumentation:
Backing Track:
Paul McCartney : Lead Guitar (1964 Fender Esquire)
George Harrison : Rhythm Guitar (1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard)
John Lennon : Piano
Ringo Starr : Drums, “I’ve got blisters on my fingers”
Overdubs:
Paul McCartney : Lead and Backing Vocals
John Lennon : Bass Guitar (1968 Fender Bass VI), Backing Vocals, Saxophone
George Harrison : Backing Vocals
Mal Evans: Trumpet
What makes the song heavy is Paul’s aggressive guitar playing and Ringo’s aggressive drumming, more of a garage rock/proto-punk song than a hard rock or heavy metal song when you look at it that way, although I simply refer to it as classic rock, like I do with all Beatles songs released during this time period.

That’s true… Revolution and Rock And Roll Music are a LOT heavier than Helter Skelter .

Rock And Roll Music is definitely not heavier than Helter Skelter , it’s just a really good Chuck Berry cover that was recorded in one take. As for what is the heaviest Beatles song, I think it’s a 3 way tie each for their own different reasons, Helter Skelter is the most aggressive, Revolution is the most energetic, and I Want You (She’s So Heavy) is the most darkest, if I had to choose the most heaviest with only one choice though, I would pick I Want You (She’s So Heavy) because it’s the closest you can get to a heavy metal Beatles song.

I disagree. Ringo’s drumming and the piano, for me, make it heavier.

It is my duty to correct you there. Most is defunct in that sentence, it should be ‘darkest’.
Also, I don’t find I Want You very heavy. I find it boring, but jokes aside, I would struggle calling it classic rock, let alone metal!

Back on the forum and back into The Beatles. Boy was it tough, but Bob Dylan got me through.
Some things I did while I was away:
Sang with my choir in Notre Dame Cathedral
Played Oberon in A Midsummer Nights Dream
Compiled my extensive Beatles complete chronology playlist which plays every Beatles release in perfect order, including the pre-breakup solo albums. I dig into that later today.
I did a great deal of things and had a great deal of experiences that I either don’t remember off the top of my head or don’t care to mention, but I am glad to be back!

Played Oberon in A Midsummer Nights Dream
That’s so cool! I really dig that play, and I went to see a rendition of it late last month. I also recently did a drawing of Oberon and Titania (Oberon was visually based on David Bowie).

Funnily enough, I also tried to do the albums in order, but I only got to Beatles For Sale before Little Girl insisted on playing something else.
