Maybe some of this advice can help me with my on and off depression but I wouldn’t go to the priest unless if this person follows that religion because if she doesn’t, all the priest will do is try to convert her and although I’m not sure about her, I would be too embarrassed to talk to my parents about it, especially if they expect her to be perfect and or think she’s faking it or overreacting or think she doesn’t have depression, I wonder if one of those hypnosis YouTube videos would work.

Thank you all so much for your advice it was really helpful! As you said @Expert Textpert she doesn’t see a meaning in her life and doesn’t care, therefore. She probably needs a passion in her life and since she enjoys listening to music maybe I can persuade her to learn an instrument?
Very sorry to hear about your friend, Martha. I have no experience with anything like that, so I can’t begin to imagine how hard it must be to see a beloved person go through that. I do think that might be a good idea (of course I’d say that!). Music often gets me out of bed in the mornings*.
Whatever it is, I hope everything will turn out all right.
*I’m not a bit depressive, but I do abhor getting up in the morning.

I will look into that Pablo, maybe look into other things as well although I refuse to mention this to my family because they’d make it seem like I’m overreacting and that I’m faking it, I personally think I have manic depression and ocd is another possibility.

I have the cold and a sore throat but am sitting out in the shade on a very sunny day listening to music so the positives are greater.
My life currently feels like a drunken retelling of 9 years ago. It’s very weird.

I hope you get better soon, mmm!
I hope you can make his final few weeks really happy and fun, Necko. No one should have to go through that.
In My Life , I have 3 days of school until school holidays, which means I’ll be annoying you even more for a couple of weeks! (I’m not excited at all…)

Am doing my happy dance because Ringo is bringing his fall tour back down here to my area. He never misses us, and went to Japan instead of here during the summer tour so I was a sad puppy. THANK YOU RINGO!!! Getting my tickets on April 6 for the November 7 show in Ft. Lauderdale at the Parker Playhouse.

My dad’s best friend is terminally ill and he’s moving in on Wednesday to spend his last weeks with us.
Really sorry to hear about your Dad’s friend. My thoughts to him and your family.
I’m feeling rather down myself. To put it shortly ‘cos I don’t wanna go through the story telling again, i’m quoting John here:
There is one love I should never have crossed
She was a girl in a million, my friend
I should have known she would win in the end
Beneath this mask I am wearing a frown
My tears are falling like rain from the sky
Is it for her or myself that I cry”
She’s my classmate and dear friend of mine, and someone got her before I got the chance.

My internet issues are almost resolved! Just a few more days until I can finally be online without any restrictions. At least being online less has helped me start a better routine for practicing my music every day.

@Necko, what a wonderful, generous act. Your dad’s friend can retain some sense of dignity instead of being in a cold, sterile facility. I wish the best for all in your household.

Away from where i live trying to get my head straight amidst all the chaos and uncertainty. Reality makes it difficult.
All the best @Necko in what must be an incredibly difficult, emotional situation. Receiving care in a loving, familiar setting surrounded by those who love you makes the time spent so much more filling, rewarding and peaceful, regardless of the realities that constantly are at the forefront of each day. As hard as it may be I hope each day brings some sort of positive.
