I have a dilemma which i’m not going into here but basically the option to act is not an option because of the situation but to leave it as is is not an option that satisfies in any way. So the answer is not to act but in doing so the outcome is highly undesirable.
The most horrific swear words ever known to the creators of the universe would not come close to my unspoken frustration.

It may have moved on without my conscious awareness. An act carried out randomly without my alert thinking may move on life. Whatever comes will be. We live by our decisions and actions, the outcomes are often outwith our control. To be honest I’d rather just get it over with and deal with comes instead of it all ongoing for goodness knows how long.
My shower has been on god knows how long. I’ve been out for 15 hours for work and wasn’t on when I left but on when I returned with moisture everywhere. Water will not turn off. Fun to come back to but it all can be fixed.

Let what be?
I cannot let things be, its either all in or nothing at all. Anyway I cannot let be what may already be and I wanted an answer regardless of what it was so maybe this will be what brings it to pass. The only social act I do in a year as well – actually over a year.
I make life far more complicated than it should be. A house covered with moisture due to a broken shower doesn’t faze me yet any social world involvement has me all in a fankle. It’s why I generally don’t get involved.

I just went to the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. It’s a shame that it’s closing at the end of the year. Granted there is another one that has been built on the strip to replace it, but that’s on the strip.

Let the situation be, according to the song.
At the end of the day though, don’t take my advice, take your own, Because you know what is right for the situation, as you are in the situation.

I can relate, as I’m sure most people here can! (no offence to anyone, but almost everyone here, myself included, seems to be an introvert)

Last day of antibiotics for the Mrs, she’s looking good and feeling better. We’ll be waiting for her Dr’s appointment on Tues to get the official “cured” diagnosis, at which time we can remove the “QUARANTINE” sign from the front door, disconnect the electric fence that keeps us in and y’all out, and return to some degree of normalcy in the BluemeanAl (and not mean Di) household. We hope!
On a not-great coincidental note, I’ve got an uncle in the hospital right now who’s just been diagnosed with a MRSA infection…I’ve never personally known anyone who had contracted MRSA before, and now we have two in our family at the same time, though 600 miles apart!
Meantime, the NC legislature just couldn’t get out of their own way to repeal HB2, despite having no problems stripping the incoming governor of authority that his predecessor enjoyed. The power of gerrymandering, my friends: despite an approx. 52% R, 47% D vote in statewide elections this year, the state legislature is more like 62% R 38% D… (and even worse, 77% R representatives to the US House!). On an overall population basis, this is a “purple” state, but you would never know it judging by the makeup of our “representative” government.
Happy Winter Solstice holiday(s) of your choice! (Honestly, Donald Trump makes me want to never say “Merry Christmas” ever again, but it’s a pretty hard habit to break…)

MRSA is scary stuff. I’m hoping for an “all clear” signal for not mean Di on Tuesday and a speedy recovery for your uncle, @BluemeanAl.

So our childminder was due to give birth in January. I left my job in November, and was having a little break and tidying up things before starting different work in the new year.
However, she went into hospital earlier in the week, and last night had her baby several weeks early. Fortunately both are fine, but it’s totally derailed my plans for a December break. I’ve been spending much more time with my kids, which has been great and everything, just not the pre-Christmas peace I was hoping for! It also means I’m hopelessly behind with Christmas presents, and totally out of time to go shopping. Eek. Sorry mods, I’ll fix you up with something nice in the new year.

Scary indeed! I don’t work in healthcare, but my company makes fabrics that go into healthcare settings (the privacy curtains that surround beds, fabric for upholstered chairs), so I’m real familiar with the hospital-acquired form of MRSA. The “community-acquired” MRSA was a new one for me, and if we didn’t take it seriously enough to start with, there were a couple of things that caught our attention in a big way:
- When Di first saw her doctor with a face infection, her doc immediately sent us to an emergency room for treatment, would not attempt draining the wound in her office.
- When her doctor got the test results confirming MRSA, she called us on a Sunday evening to let us know. A Sunday! That sort of thing just doesn’t happen, does it?
Thanks for the well-wishes!

I had to clean out my entire pantry yesterday, as we all of a sudden had a moth infestation. 17 things had moths/moth eggs in them. 3 of them unopened/airtight containers. So sick of moths…

I don’t mind moths, but after seeing almost 100 in the space of 30 minutes, I might never like them again!
