Offline With the huge disappointment last night, it appears our country is scheduled to wind the clock back about 50 years. Devastating results for America and the world.

Offline My sister’s coming over when my brother comes home, she’s probably going to complain about how Trump won and how she wanted Hillary to win whereas on the reverse, me and just about everybody I like are celebrating the fact that Hillary bit the dust. I have to agree with you there (from my naïve insider perspective). Though they’re not all bad, surely — as me own grandparents are Trumpeters 
but they’re very decent sods, apart from their politics.

I learned Suite: Judy Blue Eyes on guitar and played it from 9 to 12. My fingers are killing me but I’ve never been more satisfied.
Now that is HARDCORE. 
I learnt ‘Unintended’ the other day and couldn’t stop playing it for a while — I think I played it about six times in a row, not counting false starts, before I started to feel like a broken record.
I love that ragged feeling your callouses get when you’ve been playing for hours.

The fog is finally lifting. I’m looking around and I see a man preparing to destroy our country and white supremacists painting swastikas everywhere.
On the anniversary of kristallnacht this week, swastikas were painted on shop windows in Philadelphia.
Another swastika popped up elsewhere with the message “Make America White Again.”
I also saw a poster advocating torture by vigilante squad of any university faculty who teach diversity.

@The Hippie Chick Yeah tell me about it. There’s also a literal fog hanging around where I am because Northern GA and parts of NC are on fire. Nice and hazy and kinda smelly.

2016 has been an odd year. Whew.

Oh wow, that ignorance.
It really should be
‘Make American Native Again!’, seeing as us blasted Europeans (well technically not the Irish we were too busy being planted and poor to do any colonising) killed Native Americans so we could settle there in our droves.
Unless you’re a 100% Native American (which there are definitely few of), you are not entitled to America.
There are so many idiots, jeez, why does the colour of a person’s skin, their religion, home country, whatever make them substandard to another person in this case Christian, European-descended whites? I bet if you look back on some of the most prolific racists, you’ll see that somewhere in their family there was at least one Jewish, black, Muslim, any person they deem “inferior” to them, in their blood.
Stupid hypocrites.
And I say this being Irish where we were (and continue to be in some cases) referred to as “the blacks of Europe” and were ‘No Irish Need Apply’, ‘No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs’ signs where displayed throughout the States, Britain, Australia etc.
And where caricatures like this were drawn
People need to look back on how their ancestors were treated in the past (over 40 million Americans claim Irish descent) and see how they’re treating people now. It’s a pot, kettle situation just decades later.
