I like twenty-four. It’s evenly divisible by 12, 8, 6, 3, 2, and 1, and it has a nice ring to it.

Ohhh Boy and I are finally going to get a flat screen tv. Maybe. Our box tv is still working, but we are tired of not being able to see everything being shown on the screen. The stuff on the edges is cut off. We are trying to decide on which tv to purchase. Suggestions anyone?

We bought a big Samsung one not too long ago and it works great. Can’t remember what model/size/etc, but it’s nice because you can even use the internet on it and stuff. So, say if you found the Let It Be film (or something like that a-hard-days-night-john-7) on some website, you could simply watch it on your tv instead of your computer! Hope this helps.paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

For anyone wanting to change jobs/unemployed, have you considered being the PA for Ryanair’s CEO the lovely Mr. Michael O’Leary?

Worst Job in Ireland?????

ASSISTANT TO RYANAIR’s CEO

A bright, ambitious qualified accountant is required to assist Ryanair’s misunderstood but beloved CEO and manage a wide range of issues including:

  • Treasury & portfolio management
  • Investment analysis
  • Tax analysis & returns
  • Project management and property development
  • Special project work
  • General drudgery
  • MOL-ly coddling

Essential attributes required:

  • Thick skin
  • Saint-like patience
  • Aversion to bolloxology
  • Own collection of nursery rhymes / bedtime stories
  • Ability to operate without sleep or contact with the outside world
  • (Ego) massage qualifications

Note: Dubs fans, Man U supporters and cyclists will not only be automatically excluded from the process, but will be tracked down, tortured and shot.

This role is a great opportunity for an ambitious, self motivated qualified accountant to work in a demanding and interesting role. There will be significant opportunities for the candidate if successful, to further develop their career by promotion into the management team at Ryanair.

The man does have his own registered taxi purely so he can use bus lanes- what a man!

Thanks @Zig – we’re soooo glad to be back together. HKL is adjusting to the 3-hour time difference and the shock of having some pleasant weather here in Canberra at the moment 🙂

This pic was out at dinner last night for my son’s 18th birthday.

Most established brands seem to make pretty decent TVs nowadays and the prices can be amazing. I have had two Toshibas in my life – the first was still going strong when I replaced it and the “new” one has been running fine for over 6 years now. It has an excellent picture and lots of input sockets which is what we need in our place with multiple HDMI devices.

^ We know where we can get a good deal on http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-70…..-4k-uhd-tv

We have old technology so we need older input thingies. All of this

1 RF In (Antenna/Cable), 1 Composite In, 1 (shared with composite) Component In,

means something to Ohhh Boy. He says it is important. I will see if Toshibas have 1 RF In (Antenna/Cable), 1 Composite In, 1 (shared with composite) Component In,…

Good luck with the shopping. My TV has the antenna in; 4 sets of component / composite in; 4 hdmi connectors plus a computer input (possibly SVGA – never looked at it) and a couple of usb slots. You will need the hdmi or similar for bluray and the like – almost every modern TV will have a few inputs for that.

Just moved offices this week and my window now overlooks the Grand Union Canal in London with a lovely view of swans, seagulls and canal boats.  Nice view but shame about the job. paul-mccartney

You know @Ahhh Girl I was wondering if there were any Beatle swan references. PS Do you think Paul realises that swans are not seafaring birds? (at least to my knowledge).

Well the swan isn’t seafaring in the song.  The line is “The swan is gliding above the ocean.”

Also in the single cover, the swan is flying above the ocean.

Also I think that swans do swim atop the water.
