I don’t understand why people in other countries watch the American debates. What does it matter to you if you can’t even vote and don’t live in this country?
I don’t really care to watch it, honestly. Plus, today the Cubs are playing which is a lot more important than watching the presidential debate.

For one whoever wins will have a major impact on world events so we need to hear what they will say about what they will do. Its going to have a massive impact on where the world goes in regards to the world economy, wars, humanitarianism and so much else so its not just about America as its own country.
Secondly people are watching because of the behaviour of Trump and Clinton in previous debates and all the issues surrounding both candidates throughout the whole 87 month process.

Pretty much as mmm said. For good or ill, the President of the United States is the most important political figure in the world. The thought of Trump running the free world is scary as hell.
Plus, the spectacle is difficult not to enjoy, though it looks as if this moderator is attempting to keep a very tight rein.

I wouldn’t be surprised if a 3rd party won.
No way that would happen. The voting system pretty much prevents it.

You forgot how each state only has one vote, instead of every vote counting. Also, considering they’re doing it online, it’s very well possible that someone could hack into the website and make the 3rd party win that way. Trust me, it’s that easy, especially if you have hacked into websites before.
Maybe you should try posting more.

This debate is the most civil of the three. They went 25 minutes without interrupting each other.
Edit: The second I posted this, Trump started interrupting Clinton during her two minutes telling her that she is wrong.

There was one election in 1912 where a third party gained traction and got a huge chunk of votes. That party was the progressive party and it split the republican base in half allowing for Wilson to become president.

That made me really sad, Willy. ):
I don’t get what the problem would be with building a wall, though, other than the cost. I’ve heard that Mexico wants to build a wall to keep out illegal aliens also. There really shouldn’t be a problem with wanting people to do things legally.

A wall won’t stop illegal immigrants from getting visas, going on planes, then overstaying their visas and living here illegally.

I think this is the first US election in history where a large amount of people think both candidates suck, to the point where I wouldn’t be surprised if a 3rd party won.
Not a chance in hell… people rarely know what they’re talking about. (And isn’t that the problem really?).
Just look at polls (FiveThirtyEight’s election forecast is the best aggregate out there). Gary Johnson (the most notable 3rd party candidate) is currently sitting a 6% of the popular vote, almost 40 behind Trump, who’s actually losing pretty badly. Evan McMullin might win Utah because of the Mormons but that’s an anomaly. There is absolutely no way that the winner of this election is not either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.
I urge you to do some research, god knows we could use some political discourse from people who understand what’s going on (one of the candidates doesn’t even really, haha).

Additionally, you have a very poor understanding of how the Electoral College works. Seriously, do some research (I can only hope you’re not of voting age). Every state does not have one vote, the states have electors that are allocated proportionally according to the population of the state (so Montana has 3, California has 55, and everything in between). Here is a good foreign explanation of the Electoral College.
The votes are not simply stored in some website that someone can “hack”. That’s absolutely ridiculous. I’m not entirely certain of how exactly votes are stored and transported, but there are a ton of safety measures and failsafes, and let me promise you that nobody can just “hack” the votes. (I don’t have a source here, this just makes sense to me. Bad debate on my part for sure.)
I’m sorry to go off on politics everyone, but I can’t just let such blatant misinformation go by.
