Swirly Girl, good to have you back and that your feet and hair stayed dry-ish.

Unfortunately, there is very sad forum news in the Rest in Peace thread, so you’re not going to enjoy all the posts you need to catch up on.
I noticed that; it was not enjoyable at all. I can’t leave the forum for three days without people going and dying on us!

@Beatlebug – great to see you and the Silly family are OK. We could use some good news today. I was fearing the worst when I saw news footage of your beautiful state under water.

I am unreasonably honoured by your concern and the fact that your refer to my state as beautiful. Because it is, in my highly biased opinion.

Maybe ASJ can be the cheif of staff for Zig which is the president’s right hand person.
I’ll do that, I will continue wishing to get my main presidential aims completed through Zig (lowering the drinking age to 18, giving everyone a free limited supply of beer and widening the footpaths- my influences come mainly from the Swedish Donald Duck party).
I WILL ALSO REBUILD THE AMERICAN SECONDARY INDUSTRY- MANUFACTURING JOBS FOR ALL! (I will be specifically focusing on updating and rejuvenating Detroit, rebuild that motor industry!)
I don’t know what my slogan will be, maybe…. “Make the American Dream a Reality”.
(Come on everyone let’s chant together)

Wait – you don’t have a twin do you?
I have a friend who had a twin, he was born in 1963 and he had a twin sister, oddly he never bought an album in his life.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Thanks for the mentions and positive vibes, everyone! @Ahhh Girl @pepperland @ZigWe were just fine; got an insane amount of rain (many places flooded, but we, luckily, did not) and didn’t have electricity for a few days, but we had planned on going camping in the mountains and so we did despite everything, since we figured having no power in the mountains would be a lot more fun than having no power at home.
It was!
I missed my records, though
At least you only have less-than-10 to miss!
I am you as you are you as you are you and you are all together.

What on earth did you spend £320.19 on @Ron Nasty? Was it a official Beatles Apple Apple cloth so you can clean your apples before you eat them; must be Granny Smiths or no money refunded?

That’s not that uncommon, having twins is only about 1 in every 50 people and I have a couple of friends who never bought records and got all of their musical experience through the radio.

If someone were to spend £320.19 on a cloth to clean their apples, I would laugh at them. To be fair though, I am a bit of a cheapskate, so maybe I’m not the best person to say it.

Can’t believe anyone’s posted in this thread for an entire day, well it looks like I should talk about my day. Nothing much, spent most of the day trying to get Beatles To A Tee into a video involving just the songs, not the slow parts or intermissions, and going in order from record date instead of release date (it’s a good thing Joe has that day by day history section).

I was referring to my CDs as well (‘record’ as in ‘recording of this music’) so that’s well more than ten. Just the Beatles canon alone comes up to fourteen.
I spent most of yesterday driving about western NC. Now I have two bushels of apples to eat.

No worries, SG. I still buy CD’s in a “record store”. Now that vinyl has made a comeback, I can call it a record store again without being mocked…more than usual.

Well, not all of it was Apple stuff, and not all was for me…
6 x Beatles/Apple tee-shirts. £12.50 each. Total £75.
– Happy with all. About £12.50 for a logoed tee-shirt is about on par.
1 x Beatles/Apple satchel. Canvas/vinyl. £50. Total £125.
– A bit expensive, but it’ll get a lot of use. Very sturdy and well made.
1 x Beatles/Apple duffle bag. Canvas/vinyl. £60. Total £185.
– Also expensive. Again, very well made and expecting to get lots of use.
A couple of Beatles/Apple coffee mugs. About £12 for the two. Rough total £197.
A pack of Beatles/Apple playing cards. About £3. Rough total £200.
@Ahhh Girl likes magnets. I has bought her a box of wooden Beatles magnets at the V&A.
– Here I saw three sets (4 a piece, each Beatle separate, not wooden – black suits, cartoon, crossing Abbey Road ) for £10 each. Not Apple. £30. Rough total £230.
– Bought myself the three sets as well. £30. Rough total £260.
A reduced price copy of Bruce Spizer and Frank Daniels’ Beatles For Sale on Parlophone Records. Should have been £50, reduced to around £35 because the spine was damaged. Chose the best of the three damaged copies they had. Discovered afterwards it was signed by Bruce. £35. Rough total £295.
A Beatles Story ashtray. Not Apple. £6. Rough total £301.
Daily Mail magazine about conquering America. £4.99. Rough total £305.99.
Yeah, doesn’t quite make the total, probably wrong a pound or two on some things, and probably forgetting something.
A reasonable totting up though. Methinks the only real overspends were on the bags.
But, hey! That’s me!

CDs are obsolete, so there’s no point in using them. Personally, I’d recommend to ditch CD’s and just use YouTube, but those goddamn greedy b******s at UMG UK decided that The Beatles shouldn’t be enjoyed by the average citizen. Fortunately, there are other sites that include these songs. However, if I were to go with a physical medium, I’d go with vinyl, as it is the classic format and it is what The Beatles intended their music to be listened to on. Considering how many people like The Beatles, you could find some records at a yard sale or on the curb or at a thrift store for 50¢.

I have put all my CD’s on my computer and backed up the audio files onto my terabyte external drive.
