Irish Government’s budget was on today. Looks like I’m getting an increase of 10c an hour a-hard-days-night-paul-3 they said it’d be 50c :/ .

Are they making you split it with 4 others?

Ha no but here’s fun fact to show you how f**ked up Irish economics is, I would have to work 50 hours at what I’m earning now (minimum wage- now €9.25 an hour, thanks gov), to make what an unemployed person makes doing nothing. Now that’s f**ked up!

The fact that I would be better off quitting work if I wasn’t a student and going on the dole is a bloody joke.

I won’t even get an extra €1 per day on my wages, like tbf you should have just left it (well I didn’t vote in the current parties and the Independent that I did vote in is doing well for himself so good on him), because it just irks me that workers are getting rode for all they’re worth while people who have been willingly unemployed for years are just getting benefit after benefit thrown at them like a stripper and $1 bills.

Increase minimum wage, decrease dole= gets people off their asses (now I’m not talking about people who found themselves unemployed due to not being able to find a job/lost job but people who have never worked a day in their lives and don’t have any intention of working a day in their lives but just leaching off the state and raising their kids to leach off the tax payer).

Also they have introduced a new “first buyer’s grant” for people wanting to get on the property ladder but of course it is only allowed for houses that people are building themselves like ffs, like you’d get space in any of the cities to build your own house which is where the majority of people are living nowadays. I swear to god I’d do a better job running the country by myself than the gombeens we have now.

Also I agree with @Zig for president! (Also can you change the law while you’re there to make people born out of the States to non US-citizens eligible for presidency?#ASJforPrez2036)

I’m thoroughly infuriated having watched the latest Scotland disaster in football. The worst line-up, performance and result for years and still people in the media are defending the manager.

And before anyone says otherwise look into it and you will see how atrocious this was even before the match began.

I just played through a hell of a lot of Beatles songs with my older brother and cousin Bill with me and my brother practically sober (each of us only had 1 beer before we started and only some Gatorade while we were playing, as usually we’ll be drunk off our ass when we play), including the entire Abbey Road album, here’s the setlist:

Come Together

Something

Maxwell’s Silver Hammer

Oh! Darling

Octopus Garden

I Want You (She’s So Heavy)

Here Comes The Sun

Because

You Never Give Me Your Money /Sun King /Mean Mr. Mustard/Polythene Pam /She Came In Through The Bathroom Window

Golden Slumbers /Carry That Weight /The End /Her Majesty

I Me Mine

The Ballad Of John And Yoko

Cold Turkey

While My Guitar Gently Weeps

Nowhere Man

Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)

Let It Be

Helter Skelter

Imrov Drum Solo/Everybody’s Got Something To Hide Except For Me And My Monkey

Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise)/Hey Jude

And here’s the instrumentation:

Me: Lead vocals, all guitar parts, tambourine, piano on Hey Jude

My older brother: Drums, piano, backing vocals, lead vocals on Octopus Garden

My cousin Bill: bass guitar, backing vocals

My cousin’s 2 friends: backing vocals on Hey Jude

It was fun, especially when my cousin’s friends, who came in piss ass drunk decided to sing along to Hey Jude with us and trust me, nothing quite like singing Hey Jude with a bunch of drunk men.

Great setlist. I would love to walk into a bar and see this set being played. Hopefully you can do it again for an audience.

Here’s a scenario. Let’s say there’s an lion and a hunter, the lion is locked up in a cage but there’s nothing but dirt below him and the hunter is sleeping in a house made of wood and there’s a puddle of gasoline and a box of matches right next to his house, when the hunter wakes up, the lion’s getting shot. The animal (even ones with human like hands, like monkeys) does not have the capacity to realize that if he digs under the ground to get out of his cage, light the match, and throw it, the house will explode and the hunter will die, not him, whereas if I replaced the lion and hunter scenario with a female hostage and a threatening male, then the human would be able to do that. Point is, humans can  strategize a hell of a lot better than animals.

That is one very specific scenario, but what I think you were trying to say where I bolded is: some humans can strategize much better than some other (because, remember? Humans are animals too) animals in some specific situations, but with that being said, other species of animals, in some specific situations, are much more capable of human animals with strategizing.

When animals strategize, that just means they maul their victims.

You think that Ireland’s economy is f**ked up, you should see how US citizens earn money. One of my friends who sits on the couch all day and watches TV gets almost as much money as my brother (who has been working his ass off since he was 16) through food stamps, welfare, disability, and unemployment checks and the only reason he gets a disability check is because he has trouble walking because he got shot in the back after being stupid enough to attempt to fight off a round of cops when he got arrested, he’s lucky the b******s didn’t kill him.

Once again, I would like to remind you that humans are animals. I would also like to remind you that you cannot understand the mind of another species of animal considering you cannot read their minds, and even if you could, it would do you no good as you do not know their language.

Human’s are animals, and some animals eat other animals.  I’m not saying that you have to eat other animals, but I’m going to keep doing it, because I’m going to be natural, and follow nature’s plan(excuse the Rutle reference).

Nature’s path is all of our path since we are all a product of nature. So vegetarianism is natural path along with being a carnivorous. As long as it doesn’t kill you.

Also some animals eat only plants.

True, but those animals have teeth built to eat just plants.  Our teeth are built to eat both.

But they don’t have to eat both. Pandas are ‘built’ to eat meat yet they life off plants for the most part.

As long as it doesn’t kill the person, it is fine.

Wow – two votes in two days. I like the way this is trending – my campaign is going in the opposite direction as Trump’s!

@AppleScruffJunior that law sounds interesting, but I don’t know if I feel comfortable with letting just anyone born outside the US becoming president – despite the two jamokes* we have on the ballot this year. Perhaps we could narrow it down to women who were born in Ireland on your birthday to your parents? Wait – you are not a twin are you? a-hard-days-night-ringo-7

Thanks for the mentions and positive vibes, everyone! @Ahhh Girl @pepperland @Zig apple01apple02heart

We were just fine; got an insane amount of rain (many places flooded, but we, luckily, did not) and didn’t have electricity for a few days, but we had planned on going camping in the mountains and so we did despite everything, since we figured having no power in the mountains would be a lot more fun than having no power at home.

You would be proud of me, @meanmistermustard. AG and I visited The Beatles Story store during our last afternoon in Liverpool, and surrounded by much official Apple product, I managed to make it out of the store having only spent £320.19!

@Beatlebug, good to have you back and that your feet and hair stayed dry-ish. Unfortunately, there is very sad forum news in the Rest in Peace thread, so you’re not going to enjoy all the posts you need to catch up on.
