If you get nervous/exited jitters, just remember…
Have a wonderful time, you two! Not that I’m in any way jealous. *fingers crossed behind back*

My friend Steve, who is a year younger than me and has been living with me, my landlord, and my landlord’s family lately, found a job at Burger King and is planning on moving out to the house next door, I was wondering:
1. Should I try to convince him to let me live with him, as I knew him since 1987
2. Do you know any place that would hire someone who recently got fired for going to work intoxicated, alongside having multiple criminal charges, in case if he charges me rent
3. Should Steve try to share Wi-Fi with my landlord and split the bill 50/50
Maybe you should try posting more.

1. if he’s been living with you and you’re getting along, it sounds like a good idea, subject to 2) which i don’t fully understand
2. you say it’s your place, then you imply that you’re the one in job trouble. i hope you’re not in danger of losing your place! in ohio, you could probably work with the state job & family services dept. to find a job – look for same in your area. you might need to demonstrate that you’re taking action on the intoxication issue, like aa/na or whatever – and will probably need to pass a drug test, seems like everyone does them these days.
3. Our wifi downloads at 13-18mbps and uploads around 7. plenty fast enough for several people – if your landlord’s is similar why not split the charge?

A lot is happening in my life. Things were going so splendidly and then something went terribly wrong and Doris moved back to Seattle. We’ve worked it out and I’ll be moving there (from Ohio – I’ve never lived farther west than Indiana) as soon as I can save the money (tentative date of departure Dec. 4th). Luckily, the lease we signed in June has just a one month penalty to break it, so I’ll pay October’s rent, then pay the penalty month in November but move in with my mom, I’ll save a few hundred that month and then in December I’ll have hardly any expenses which should fund the move). She is hoping to have a flat lined up if not moved into.
I am excited about the move. It’s so beautiful out there, and it’s a solidly liberal area (as opposed to Ohio which is currently polling 5 points in favor of the dark side ;). But I’m scared too – I’ll have no other relatives near me. We’ll be going to marriage counseling, and while we are both committed to making it work (we truly are u:ber compatible), it’s still scary. And I won’t get to see my kids as often (I don’t see them that often now, they’re all in college – yes all 4 of them! – from freshman to 6th year/1st year of grad school).
On a brighter side, I’ve really developed a good relationship with my 3rd child, 2nd son (20yo) – he is the one who’s like me and my side of the family in terms of beliefs, morals, politics, ethics – and personality (when i can be objective it comes down to, we’re liberals, my ex is conservative – the other 3 kids are varying shades of conservative). He’s also a sports fan, and a fairly serious music fan (not like the oldest, who’s in his first year in the seminary – catholic version of grad school – he’s a hard core music fan). The 20yo has just been diagnosed bipolar, but we think he’s really ADHD. Unfortunately he mentioned he thought he had it and they think he’s drug-seeking. F’in psychiatrists…
Err, sorry language 😉
Big stuff – but we’ll come out of it with a greater appreciation for what we have. or so the plan is 🙂
I haven’t looked up but I know congrats are in order for two very special forumpudlians who tied the knot down under 🙂

Homecoming went amazingly, despite the horrid planning in my group, and all the drama. My date said she had a lot of fun, which was my goal. Now that is one stress taken off my shoulders, just in time for the stresses of Marching Band Competition season.

William Shears Campbell, ask the band “Where are we going?” and see if anyone answers “To the toppermost of the poppermost.”
Thanks for checking in to let us know what is going on in your world, Matt Busby. I hope the move is good for you.

Matt BusbyI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I’ve been in the hospital for the last three nights and 3 1/2 days; out now and at home resting and recuperating.
The NHS in Scotland are brilliant with amazing staff, would never be able to say a bad word about them.
I have incredibly little idea whats been posted on here and have no desire to go thru all the unread posts.
Oh, and i have very nearly completed buying a new house – which is in no way exciting despite so many other people insisting it is.

I don’t own the place at all. The owner is my childhood friend Bill’s cousin and I don’t have a job, yet I am still searching. My friend was fortunate enough to strike a deal with his cousin so me and my friend (who recently went through a depressing divorce) could stay at the cost of:
1. We have to get a job within 3 months and pay him $1,000 each within 6 months of when we moved in or we’re living in the woods
2. We have to get up at the crack ass of dawn and do my landlord’s every request (typically stuff such as mowing the lawn, raking the leaves, buying him and his family’s grocery’s)
Also, I don’t want to work with my state’s job and family and services department, as it would make me feel like I am stupid and have special needs. Personally, I am thinking about getting Steve to convince the manager at Burger King to hire me as well, although I am not sure if that would work. Also, wouldn’t it be a Breathalyzer test, not a drug test because the only time I ever did drugs that weren’t for medical reasons was when my friend tricked me into smoking weed, although I thought it was just a cigarette.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Sounds incredibly unappealing to me.
Is this the best option you have?

Either that or sleep on a park bench, which I’ve done before and it sucks because you’re scared that you’ll get robbed.
If you only have one option I dont see what else you can do.
Tho can you both get $1k together each in 6 months?
