Saw one of my cousins today who I hadn’t seen for a few years and was nice to meet up and catch up. She even gave me a hair cut and shave as she is a trained hairdresser.

Oh yes I also forgot to say I’d have to bring a male-friend as a date.
Now I have no lads in my town that I would call “friends” and I wouldn’t embarrass myself to ask some lad that I barely know to come with me.
I’ve got plenty of lad-friends, I shall gladly send one over for you if you like. You have to pay postage and all that though.
I have loads of friends who happen to be lads, problem is they don’t live in my town and I couldn’t be bothered to ask them to come over to my hick town for some silly beauty-standards competition.
Anyhoo I’ve told them I won’t do it, so that’s that.

Offline Currently trying to learn some more of the guitar chords for Yellow Submarine . Not getting very far just yet, but considering what my left hand looked like about a year ago this time, not too bad considering how mangled it was.

I was going to go and then when asked up for interview, say “f**k your beauty standards” and walk out.
Probably amn’t ballsy enough to do it though, I’m not getting out of my town any time soon and as much as I complain about it, it does have a special place in my heart.

Offline Feeling much better today, so I mightn’t have need of Yellow Submarine and the Ed Sullivan show (but I might watch the latter anyway, as I’ve not seen it in full before).

I’ve just had my official leaving date at work. My last day is 31 December, though I’ll have to use up all my accrued leave before then. As things stand I might be off in early December or even late November (I’m owed a lot of holiday).
I’m looking forward to having plenty of time to get this place in shape. I have so many things I want to write. You may have noticed the Twitter and Facebook accounts (@/beatlesbible) recently sprung back into action. I’m setting up a load of on-this-day posts which can repeat year-on-year, and hopefully bring some new visitors to the site. Phase two is to fill in lots of gaps in the history, from 1970 onwards. I’m not yet sure what phase three is – I have a long to-do list!

Ahh, I just bruised it pretty good last year when I accidentally smashed it in the door of a cardboard baler at work. Thought the ring finger was broken but it was just really bruised and swollen for a bit. I’d show a before and after picture but I think I’d scare away some people…

Reminds me of the time my middle finger on my right hand got super infected, I couldn’t do proper fingerpicking with it. After the pus exploded, I showed it to my friend and she almost vomited.

Offline Said goodbye to the children today. It surprised me that the majority went ”ohh miss, will me see you next year? Will you come into our classroom? Will you come have a chat?” etc.
Yesterday I was all ”Lol at people who become emotional after having been here for a couple of months/a year”, but when I left today I was a bit teary eyed myself.
Anyway, 6 weeks off now. Let it begin. Yay.

Offline I got a blister or something on my right index finger once, which made it pretty much impossible to play without immense pain. I had band practise that day, though, so I just slapped a bandage on and took it away. 
Take it away, wanna hear ya play till the lights go down…

Yeah no cuts or anything (only a red mark or two from getting caught between two hunks of metal), just a REALLLLLY purple finger lol. Very odd accident too, because when I pull that door down on the baler, I always get my left hand out of the way. Apparently that one time, it didn’t work out.

Offline I am currently watching my Beatle Sims a bit after a bit of a break from the game. Paul, George and Ringo all want to clean one toilet. They all have to go anyway so I just have them all use it after Paul unclogs it. All this while John is sleeping away in his bunk bed in a hole.

In Sims 3, the AI is lacking, lol. John woke up and he was really hungry, but ignored that to watch Paul play guitar downstairs. I had him go up and have some key lime pie. George and Ringo were up all night for some reason, ate too, then I gave up and just had them all go watch Paul, just because. George couldn’t seem to get out of his swimwear so I told him to change clothes. I just installed Late Night so maybe I can get them playing things OTHER than guitars. Maybe I should make the Apple Corps building and stick a few guitars, a drum set and maybe a mic or two on the roof. Hmmmmmmm……
Edit: I got ’em on the rooftop! =D

Offline It was the best of times – it was the worst of times.
The worst – my work medical revealed a few chronic conditions I didn’t know about; all manageable but my impatient boss decided I was unfit for duty and released me – so I no longer have the job I waited so long for 🙁
The best of times – ‘SOMEONE’ has been granted a three-month tourist visa with a one-year validity and multiple entries allowed in that time:
