Part 1:My cellphone is broken. I feel very torn about it. On one hand, I don’t want to cost my dad a lot of money. On the other hand, I hate the big, ugly thing. We’re going to see if buying a new battery will fix it.That’s no way to talk about your father. After all, he’s trying to help you with your phone.
Such ingratitude.
Took me a moment…

Best bit is to hang around St. John’s Wood as that is where his London home is, he sometimes goes out for walks and you could catch him then. If he’s recording as well, he often walks to Abbey Road so you might get him a glimpse of him at least then.
Even if he isn’t touring there is still a good chance he isn’t in London, he has property all over the place! So I wouldn’t spend that much time hanging around.

NCV & EMG Findings:
Evaluation of the Left superficial peroneal sensory nerve showed prolongated distal peak latency (4.8 ms), reduced amplitude (1.8µV), and decreased conduction velocity (14 cm-And Lat Mall, 29 ms). All remaining nerves (as indicated in the following tables) were within normal limits.
Needle evaluation of the Left anterior tibialis and the Left peroneus longus muscles showed increased motor unit amplitude and slightly increased polyphasic potentials. The Left biceps femoris (short head) muscle showed slightly increased polyphasic potentials. All remaining muscles (as indicated in the following table) showed no evidence of electrical instability.
Impression:
1. Evidence of peroneal slowing distal to the fibular head.
2. Findings also suggest chronic denervation in the left L5 distribution.
—
Ick. Chronic denervation.
The outer side of my left leg below the knee hurts and the toes on my left foot go numb every day…exactly what the tests show…I know my pain! I guess I couldn’t pinpoint it before I had the spinal epidural injection a few months ago. Once that pain subsided substantially, I could feel the pain from this nerve in my leg.
The doc said that what I have is uncommon. He said he would have to hit the textbook to figure out if there is anything I can do to help the pain without having surgery to remove the tissue that is constricting and compressing the nerve.
At least the other muscles and nerves around it are doing ok.

While ASJ’s suggestions are good, should he be around the most likely place to spot him is Soho Square, where he has his offices at No. 3. The trouble with his London home address is that it’s rarely used nowadays. Unless for some reason he needs to stay in town overnight, when needing to do things in London he usually bases himself at his farm near Rye and commutes in.

Working 5 days in a row* before going on a break from it all (someone will be staying here in case anyone has any ideas). I’m knackered. Need to make some decisions too when away.
*My reason for not posting much, which I knew would happen.

Thanks, folks.
After all the poking and electrocuting the doc did to my leg yesterday, I decided to take the high-powered pain killers he prescribed for me this morning so I could make it through work ok today. I’m feeling woozy. I don’t take the meds that often so when I do, it’s weeeeeeeee AG. I’m getting some work accomplished, but concentrating is a bit hard.

I’m still in pre-coffee wake-up mode (but about to get some) and I swear I saw “That’s All Folks” at the top of your post.
Yay for painkillers but boo for concentration loss. Hope you feel better soon @Ahhh Girl =)

I didn’t pass my internship. I now have to follow a new one next year. I don’t have to re-do the whole year, as I had more than enough ECTS, so I can just start on my Minor, Research Report and all. I just have to achieve a few things I haven’t been able to achieve this internship.
It’s very hard finding one for a shorter period of time, and it’s already halfway through July, of course. I was very sad and angry when I heard it and wished they told me sooner. I was under the impression I was doing well. This is also tied to a school assessment, a portfolio thing, which was a shitload of work and took me weeks to make. They’ve seen me work on it, yet they couldn’t bother to tell me I was doing it for nothing.
Anyway, only one week left and then summervacation! Can’t wait to not have to get up at 6, can’t wait to go to Norway and all.

Sorry to hear that you didn’t pass the internship and it’s crappy they didnt tell you whilst you were doing all the portfolio work so it was all for nothing. Hopefully you’ll find somewhere you like to do the parts that you need to pass next time, which you will do.
Enjoy the holidays, lie-ins and Norway when they come.
Me, I have 13 days off work!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, that’s kinda sh..t , @Linde …Wish you a nice holiday anyway and I hope the weather is nice in Norway, ’cause here in Dk we have a really sh..tty summer
Instead of being outside and watching the football final, I need to watch it in my room ’cause it’s raining
Thank god I have a nice company…
Is it not raining somewhere as here in the Scotland (and the rest of the UK) the summer went on its holidays 2 months ago and hasn’t returned?
Looked at the weather and whilst where I am going has sun forecast next weekend where I am doesn’t.

Unfortunately, it’s almost the same weather situation in Scandinavia @meanmistermustard 🙁 I’m not a dane by origin, and it was a bit hard for me to get used to it in the beginning when I moved over here, but no more complaints…
Have a lovely and sunny vacation!

Oh, I’m going there in August, so that’s still a while..
Already applied for like, 30 internships, have two interviews this week of which one will take place tomorrow. It just occurred to me that this is a very fancy company and it’s sort of a PR/Employment agency-ish thing. It then occurred to me that I always dress like either a hobo hipster thing or goth-light and that I don’t really have anything fancy, so picking out clothes will be fun tomorrow morning.
Tomorrow evening I’ll be going our for dinner with the other interns of my current internship. We’re all friends. Looking forward to that!
You all enjoy your holidays, and you enjoy your 13 days off, @meanmistermustard

@Ahhh Girl , sorry to hear about the leg. Are you still on pain killers? If so, you can measure their affect on your brain cells by viewing this picture of the White Album cover. If there is no long term damage, the image will be plain white.
@Linde – bummer about the internship, but it looks like you are not short on prospects. Good luck!
