Just came back from a sleepover this weekend. We were in a hotel for a grand state thing for my service group. It was pretty fun, besides getting knocked off the bed by my “”friend””. On purpose. 5 freaking times. And there goes someone from my true friends list!

I went to a mall today; ended up looking around at one of those stores where everything is expensive and fancy, and found…..

..a multitude of Beatles shirts?! a-hard-days-night-paul-10ahdn_george_08

I ended up choosing two, a blue A Hard Day’s Night t-shirt (which is very soft; unfortunately I can’t find a picture of it a-hard-days-night-paul-3) and a Beatles in Japan type shirt (which is also very soft; fortunately I found a photo of this one! a-hard-days-night-paul-8). Here is the shirt I could find a photo for (and yeah it’s technically a men’s shirt but who the heck cares, it’s The Beatles fer toast’s sake! blue-meanie):

We also bought an elliptical, so now I can actually exercise and not be as active as a walrus with no limbs, as I like to say. I can imagine how it would be had we not gotten one.

Everyone: “Hey, Weepy C, you haven’t moved for a good four days now, why don’t you go outside or something?”

Weepy C: “Goob goob g’joob.” john-lennon-salute_gif

Everyone: “Ok????!?”

Overall t’is been a very a grately day for meself. paul-mccartney-thumb_gif

Just going through a rough one. 3:30 am and got the blues im afraid. Just went through a bad breakup thingy, apparently lost “the feeling” and “age difference”. I dint know, maybe perhaps im too young to know real love. But i browsed one of the topics and it all made my day(night) so thank you guys very much:)

also i am literally going to be graduating in less than 30 hours and im totally not ready to move on to the real world. I guess no one is ready, but it just seems that time flew by quickly.

Sorry to hear about the breakup, Nick. Best of luck at the graduation. Don’t worry so much about the real world. It’ll be here whenever you are ready.

Yesterday was a bit tough. Would’ve been my grandma’s birthday and also marked exactly 3 months since she’s been gone.

At my internship we watched Les Intouchables and near the end, Una Mattina by Ludovico Einaudi plays, which is the song my brother and I chose to have played after our speech at the funeral. It was too much.

Otherwise all is going well.

The big day is drawing nigh! Paul Sunday night!! I am asking for help: our seats are in the first row of the 2nd section of floor seats, with a 3-5m empty space in front before the front section, and we think if we bring a poster, he will probably be able to see it easily. Does anyone have any suggestions on good poster ideas that might elicit a comment from macca himself?

Thanks, Matt

You could do a sign like @Mademoiselle Kitty >^..^<‘s– what was it? ‘Speedway roses are red, suburban skies are blue, I need a lift home, Paul can I ride with you’?

Close, but not quite right, @Beatlebug. Actually, it’s:

*insert dramatic clearing of throat*

Speedway Roses Are Red

Suburban Skies Are Blue

I Need A Way To Get Back Home

Paul, Can I Get A Lift From You?

p.s. Please sign me for a tattoo

*takes a bow*

And I added some pictures for good measure. You know. a bass clef and a treble clef, music notes, hearts, peace signs, that kind of thing. Too bad he never got to see it.

He can read the signs, @Starr Shine?. He read several in Amsterdam last year. He just doesn’t always take the time to do it. He didn’t read any at Pinkpop, anyway.

Power went off about forty minutes ago. First off I thought it was just running out of credit and needing to put on the emergency fiver till I topped up this evening. Carried on playing my game for about 20 minutes till I reached a good break point. Wandered out into corridor to go to the meter cupboard and switch to my emergency. Damn! All the communal lighting is out. Damn! Power cut!

Quickly close the game ‘cos that just eats battery life.

Let’s hope the laptop lasts until the power comes back.

Part 1:My cellphone is broken. I feel very torn about it. On one hand, I don’t want to cost my dad a lot of money. On the other hand, I hate the big, ugly thing. We’re going to see if buying a new battery will fix it.

Part 2: I went to see Chris Cornell (Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog) perform at Ravinia Festival on July 3, 2016. This is not the first time I’ve seen Chris Cornell perform: I saw Soundgarden about two years ago (I think I may have mentioned it in this thread). For the most part, it was a solo acoustic gig. It was a fun time and his voice still sounds great. He was accompanied by multi-instrumentalist Bryan Gibson on cello, piano, and mandolin. Here’s the setlist, via setlist.fm and my own memory.

1. Before We Disappear

2. Can’t Change Me

3. As Hope & Promise Fade

4. Nothing Compares 2 U (Prince cover)

5. Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart

6. The Times They Are A-Changin’ Back (partially re-written cover of Bob Dylan’s The Times They Are A-Changin’)

7. Josephine

8. Fell On Black Days (Soundgarden)

9. Be Yourself (Audioslave)

10. Doesn’t Remind Me (Audioslave)

11. Call Me a Dog (Temple of the Dog)

12. Blow Up The Outside World (Soundgarden)

13. Let Your Eyes Wander

14. You Know My Name (this song was the Bond theme for Casino Royale. Before he played the song, he said that one of the main reasons he agreed to record a Bond theme was because it would be really cool to be on a list that Paul McCartney is on.)

15. I Am The Highway (Audioslave)

16. Scream

17. Rusty Cage (Soundgarden, though the version he played was based more on the Johnny Cash cover of the song)

18. Jesus Christ Pose (Soundgarden, snippet)

19. Black Hole Sun (Soundgarden)

20. Hunger Strike (Temple of the Dog)

21. Wooden Jesus (Temple of the Dog)

22. A Day In The Life (Yes, that A Day In The Life . Beatles cover)

Encore

23. Billie Jean (Michael Jackson cover)

24. Seasons

25. Higher Truth

Because my phone is shot, I didn’t get any pictures.

I'm Necko.  I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.

I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
