My ticket for Nashville arrived yesterday. And there is a seat number on it, not just a row lol. I was worried for a bit. I was stressing out at work all day.
My guitar was supposed to arrive by yesterday at the latest, but alas. The USPS will have some explaining to do.
Update: the thing is still in bloody California. Ever since the 7th. Now it’s supposed to be here by the 21st. So much for playing it this weekend….

Well, now that I finally have some down time, I can talk about what I’ve been doing the past week. First off, I had an honor roll celebration earlier this week. It was a shocker enough that they had food that I liked. Then, my grade had field day, where I was a part of the Tug O’ War team. We lost both rounds we did, but I’m not competitive at all, so I ain’t complaining. After I got to go to the orthodontist, one of least favorite places! (right next to the hospital, a doctors office, school, and a dentists office). I got one of coils out, so I don’t have to feel rubbing against my lip anymore. Also went on a field trip to Battleship Cove, where we looked at battleships and a submarine. And I may or may not’ve gotten lost once or twice…..
Finally finished my math finals yesterday. I got a 78%, but it’s better than a 65%. Or a 27%. Even though on the English finals I got a 98% (which probably explains why I like to write so much).
So, yea. It’s been very busy, but I’ll be out of school on Tuesday, so ’tis all good

Currently trying to combat the pre-roadtrip nerve-induced heebie jeebies. No matter what I can’t prevent ’em. I always get them before a roadtrip or convention regardless of travel distance. It’s mainly because it’s a solo run and the anticipation is getting to me.
Update: Trip went very well, aside from being exhausted throughout from the hiking around downtown, lack of sleeping/eating and the heat/humidity. It was a fantastic experience and I’d definitely do it again if Ringo makes another stop in Nashville.

I just finished my 30-year playlist of Beatles and Elvis beginning with the Sun sessions and ending with Give My Regards To Broad Street . It was very satisfying. I took a few breaks here and there. It was nice hearing the evolution of popular music through three decades.

But not your tongue?
Actually, yes, my tongue too– and my teeth, and my lips. I wasn’t looking at my mouth at the time.
My going-potty-on-George morning turned into a going-potty-on-Paul afternoon… ’tis all good

The polls are about to close, and I’m just back from casting my vote.
I hope we’ve voted to remain in the European Union, but I fear for the worst.
This is going to be an interesting night whatever.

I’m sorry the vote didn’t go as we all had hoped. My thoughts are with Britain today.

Celebrating Father’s Day/Dad’s birthday in downtown Chicago today (both my parents have birthdays near their holidays, so we typically combine them). I probably won’t be on much today.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

I had a recital today. I did some piano pieces: Haydn Sonata in E Minor Mvt. 1, Fantasia in D Minor by Mozart, and the Nocturne in E Flat by Chopin. For voice I sang Per la Gloria, Somewhere from West Side Story, and Let My Song Fill your Heart.
Now for the stuff you care about: I PLAYED ON THE SAME PIANO AS PAUL MCCARTNEY HE LAID HIS HANDS ON IT OMG. Just had to get that out.
The piano is a 9 foot Yamaha and costs $160,000. Other musicians such as Josh Groban, Alecia Keys, Elton John, and Frank Sinatra Junior (3 months before he died) have played it.

…And you didn’t play any McCartney songs? Tsk, tsk.
Just kidding, it sounds like it was all rather classical-y stuff and while Paul said that the Beatles were the classical music of today (fifty years ago) I doubt you’d have gotten away with Lady Madonna .
