I’ve been sleeping most of the day, for some reason i am very tired.Sleeping too much is known to cause fatigue, but it could also just because you are getting old. I think that’s happen to me already.
Ouch LPD, (you’re just a wee sprite mmm, don’t listen to her ).
I still haven’t adjusted to my not going-to-sleep-’til-3am schedule, I’m pretty sluggish. I’ll try and go beddy-boos at 11:30pm tonight, see if I feel any better.
In other news, one of my students brought in my French notes that I did from them and the teacher said they were “of excellent standard. You’ve worked hard!”
Thank you, I have 😛

So I haven’t been online in 2 months. Not that anyone missed me, but whatever, going to tell you why anyway. At the end of February my grandma’s situation became so bad, that she couldn’t be alone anymore and was in need of constant care. The getting out of breath and moisture around her heart started happening more and more frequent, and it was getting harder for the doctors to be able to do something. The nurses she had at her home started telling us it wouldn’t be long a few weeks ago, but we didn’t want to see it. On Tuesday the 29th, she was rushed to the hospital, and some of the moisture was removed. However, she barely reacted to any people around her anymore. Some of her reflexes weren’t working anymore, like the ones in your eye, when someone waves their hand in front of your face. Then on Wednesday, she could go home, but after an hour the nurse could tell she was dying, and called my mom, who was in the kitchen. My uncles were there and my mom sat next to my grandma and held her hand, and then she died. Hearing about it was awful.
I had a big role in taking care of her and the funeral after she died. I helped dressing her up, picking out flowers, took care of the music, picked out some things for the shrine (we organized a memorial service, because she knew so many people), printed some pictures and supported my mother. I also spoke at the memorial thing.
We first had the funeral, with just our family, uncles, aunts and cousins. Her coffin was white, and so was the car. It was absolutely beautiful. Then we went to the teahouse nearby, where people could come to give us their condoleances. And boy, were there a lot of people! After that they could sit down and we had the memorial thing, where my mom, my brother and I, and my uncle spoke. Instead of those lame buns and coffee we had some kind of high tea. After the speaking everyone got a glass of wine and we toasted on her life.
It was a sad day, but a very beautiful day as well.
Anyway, that was basically why. I will now read those hundred pages of information and stories that I’ve missed.

@Linde it’s great to see you around again and yes I did miss you.
When you weren’t around for a while I feared something had happened as you did tell us about your grandmother’s poor health. I am so sorry for your loss. Your celebration of her life at the end of the memorial service is the way it should be. May she rest in peace.

Sorry to hear the crap news @Linde and you were missed so there.
Losing a loved one is damned awful and no forum should ever come before family, you should be damned proud of yourself for all you did for your Grandma Linde, she would have been so proud of you. Do your best to forget the harder times and remember all the happy ones instead.
Its great you are back.

No wonder Paul simply went with blackbird. ”Super spy darting around for the internet in the dead of night” isn’t nearly as catchy.

Sorry to hear about your loss Linde, it’s always difficult losing a close family member and friend. You spoke of your grandmother often here and it’s clear to see how much you loved her.

Got the final 2 shows of the play today. Opening night was last night and nothing felt real (and nothing to get hung about….) and it was quite a celebration of that. Today’s gonna be a long day, but luckily, life should go back to normal by tomorrow or Monday
