No its not, weekends on here are like visiting a cemetery at night, only ghosts remain.
Why would a ghost hang about at a cemetery? I’ve never understood the idea of coming back as a ghost and then hanging around doing nothing but scaring people. Surely they can find something better to do with eternity.

Offline I’ve been busy the last couple days, but nothing with the sort of excitement except a Beatles event! I went to an annual concert that focused on a lot of songs with mostly local musicians. Great vocalists and acts (although you can’t beat the originals). Some famous guest stars enabled me to hear the great classics from the Animals and Paul McCartney and the Wings that were just flawless. My favorite acts were probably In My Life (made me tear up), Working Class Hero and songs played by one of the original Animals themselves. It was such a great opportunity to be surrounded by Beatles fans who were more than casual listeners. A lot of them are older so I’m glad to pass down the love.
To everyone else, good luck on your musicals (I know how it can get towards opening, and I miss the insanity dearly) and making music!

Offline Well AG, I haven’t set foot in the door yet and they’ve already abolished my position – so no managing the library for me 🙁
On a positive note they still want me there and are creating a new position coordinating L&D across the state & territory network.
I’ll see what I actually end up doing when my clearance goes through in a few weeks / months 😉

Offline Sounds like some bad news/good news @trcanberra . Also sounds like a pet peeve. Who actively seeks candidates for a position that is going to be eliminated before it is fulfilled? At least it worked out in that you will still be employed. I once went for a promotion that I did not get. I was bummed until about 2 months later when the position was eliminated and the person who got the job was let go. Funnily enough, the company realized about a year later that the position was vital after all and promoted me into it.

It’s actually somewhat annoying – the new job will involve more travel than I like – but at least I will get to see some of my relatives interstate Now And Then .
Assuming it doesn’t all change again between now and starting, and assuming the new boss wants me – I have to have a “casual” chat with them before the formal offer. This makes interview #3.
