Rice and water have been banned, I’m fine with confetti!I’m going to a matinee show which should end around 7:30pm and the next show starts at 8:30 so I don’t expect anyone will be allowed to go too wild because the workers wouldn’t be able to clean it up in time.
I have my flashlights and newspapers ready for ‘There’s a Light’.
Ahhhhh, you should fine. The experience I described is more in line with midnight screenings.
Have fun!

“I heard Lady of the Island on the way to work this morning and thought of your Lady of the Islands trcanberra . Hope we get to hear from her soon – I love her positive insight into our forum topics and life in general.“
Thanks @sigh butterfly – I’ll pass the message along, I’m sure it will make her smile.
Unfortunately (well, fortunately for workers I guess) they have a lot of public holidays around Easter in the Philippines so it looks like no internet until late next week at the earliest.

I hope with every fiber of my being that this does not mean you are unable to communicate. That would be maddening.

Thanks @Zig (and @Starr Shine? )
It just makes it very difficult for a while – the mobile phone coverage there is really poor. @HongKongLady’s service includes free Viber (messaging) and Facebook so we are able to communicate sporadically. But something like sending a photo of her kids might be immediate one time and take a day the next. It takes a little getting used to after the fast and ‘always available’ service she had in HK. But, like I said – fingers crossed for next week 🙂
“Do you both have telephone that you could use?“
We do – but the spotty connection means that the phone can cut out every few seconds – or stay connected for a couple of minutes when we are lucky. We are waiting for the landline to be connected with the internet which will allow stable wireless to HKL’s phone so we can use voice chat via messaging (and so that HKL can get back on here).
I have been passing along news and updates from the BB on a regular basis and HKL says hi to everyone and thanks for the kind thoughts.

I’ve been incredibly stressed out at work and my wife has been at home because our 4 kids are all exhausted from the school year. Basically, we all need a break. My kids are off for a week starting today for Easter break and I have tomorrow off, so I’m taking Monday off and we’re driving back home to the Boston area to stay with my parents and visit for 4-5 days. It’ll be much needed and we all can’t wait! The last 6 months but in particular the last few weeks have kicked my arse at work…so busy and stressed. We just need to get away!

Sometimes you just need to turn off and decompress. Beat of luck with the recharge!

Indeed. All 6 of us need this. And we’re not telling any of our families in New Hampshire and Maine…we’re just going to stay with my parents and hang there in seclusion for the week, maybe pop over to Boston for a day, just to relax and refocus. Can’t wait!

Have a great time @DrBeatle hiding from the world whilst enjoying having time to spend with the family. One of the best things you can do is get away from it all.
Tonight Scotland beat the Czech Republic 1 – 0 in one of the most pointless games of football ever played between two teams. I seriously doubt anyone from anywhere cared in any way over the match. Utterly meaningless in every conceivable way.

This is probably only of interest to @Beatlebug (unless there are some other Fab Tarheels on the forum), sigh butterfly may be coming to your town! These are all of the streets/cities I’ll be visiting. So next week if you pass somebody on the street humming Any Road or quietly chanting Om Mani Padme Hum, it just might be…

Oh yeah, I’ve done those before, I’ve been sneaking into every performance of TRHPS that I could get into since I was about 13 . I actually got to be Columbia once when the girl who normally played her was sick and nobody else knew her lines so everyone got to see my utterly woeful amazing tap-dancing skills.
It’s a real pity that there is no place near me that shows TRHPS weekly/monthly, I’d happily go to it over and over again. I think even in Dublin, it’s only shown at Halloween and Valentine’s which is a shame.

My aunt is on a business trip for the next two days and I’m dog-sitting for her. All I really have to do is fill the dog bowl when it’s empty. However, the dog apparently never eats, so all I’m really doing is sitting on my fat butt for two days. I’ve just been sitting in front of the TV, eating, and playing guitar all day.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

My cousing got me tickets to the opening ceremony of my football team’s stadium next Sunday, and I’m really excited because it’s the first real stadium the team has ever had, it’s the best in the country, and the same day I’m going to see the Cirque Du Soleil too.
Also, tomorrow Suarez is coming back to the national football team, I can’t say I’m excited, but it’s good to see him back.
