Things is currently a bit nuts in the Silly household at present as we are redoing the kitchen counters and sink and oven/stovetop. ‘Tis all long overdue of course. What it means is that we can’t really cook or wash the dishes (so I don’t have any dishes to do, yippee!) but we don’t have any dishes so…

Offline I have more or less decided to take the plunge and go to Pinkpop. It means being on my feet for 12 hours or so, which will do me in since I have a bad back and chronic headaches — but it’s PAUL. I have to at least try. Also, Lionel Richie is playing that day as well, on the same stage. I like his music a lot, and given Paul’s track record, there’s a good change of a Paul&Lionel duet…. which would be gear! So, I’ll give it until Monday to either reconsider or wait for a Dutch or Belgian concert date to be added. I’m not too confident the latter will happen, so it’s about 95% certain I’ll go to Pinkpop after all. Added it to my signature already….

I have something to bragbragbrag about too:
I sang Think of Me last night and nailed the cadenza and got compared to being as good as the Broadway performance (that’s touring currently) from the announcer who’s also a newscaster.
And it was a big moment for me because my friends made signs and the whole place has tried to hide what I can do until now.
I loveee music even more than gloating. 🙂 But what else is new….

And now snow day number 3 is in session. We’re supposed to get over 6 inches of snow, we have about 5 or so by now. Also, now my throat is feeling much better. Only problem is I end up having a coughing fit every time I laugh. Still not too sure if it was allergies or sickness. I’ve never had something like this, but whatever it was, it lasted quite a bit. It was probably because almost everyone was getting sick at school, including multiple staff and students. At least it’s just about over
