I was away in England and now I am back in lovely Scotland. Took the train and the views are amazing between Glasgow and Carlisle; miles of countryside, streams, little country paths and roads, old farm and country houses, and sheep, cows, horses. So beautiful. Hard to read when you have such stunning landscape going by.

Aw that’s cute. Maybe the White Album poster wouldn’t really fit in with your current theme then ? It’s not really nostalgic for you because it’s new. You should frame the pictures and hang up the poster if you want to have more of a Beatles theme, though. Framing the pictures is a lot of work, though. You could just tape them to the wall. That would be a lot less work and wouldn’t look too bad, either.

I hung it up. I don’t want to mess up the photos with tape so I’m going to frame those.

Here’s what it looks like: (Note: the photo is horizontal, not the poster).20160306_101011.jpgImage Enlarger

Jealous. I enjoyed the train ride from Liverpool to Glasgow. Beautiful scenery.

^ Count on it. We’ll go to that sausage stand you mentioned and have lunch. And we can check out Mitchell Library. Maybe @Father McCartney will join in the party.

I would like to go back to Hutcheson’s restaurant again. Good food, pleasant wait staff, and a pretty interior.

Tomorrow I’m starting school and my English classes again, I’m sooo excited. On one hand, I don’t like school, but on the other, I will have something to waste my time on, and I also have like 4 empty Beatles notebooks that I’ve been waiting to use.

^^^ All the best for tomorrow 🙂

I took Linda’s (McCartney) advice and got lost today. She was right. I discovered the most lovely sights that I didn’t even knew existed.

The one you mentioned in an email after I mentioned the “fancy” restaurant.

I dont know of any sausage stand in Glasgow and nothing comes up when searching my emails. I’ve also never eaten at a sausage stand in Glasgow.

The ‘possibly to be renamed’ @HongKongLady has asked me to say “Hi” on her behalf to all on the BB.

Her data ran out on her phone plan last night – luckily she can still use one Instant Messaging app and Facebook.

We are still waiting to hear if her house is in an area where she can get the internet connected.

OK. Looks like I was misremembering the conversation, @meanmistermustard. Here’s what you said in the email when I mentioned the restaurant.

That hotel and restaurant look expensive. My view is if its over £6 i can cook it at home for cheaper and i can laze on the sofa eating it. I’m sure they will be incredible tho, i’ve stayed in a couple of hotels in Glasgow for christmas and they have been amazing. George Square is right in the heart of the city centre, about a minutes walk from Queens Street Train Station, 5 minutes from both Central Train Station and the nearest underground station, a comfortable 10 minute walk to the main bus station, and with buses all around.

Have a look around and see if there is anything you’d like to see, there are plenty of sites so you’ll need to figure out if there is anything you don’t want to miss.

So the idea of eating for less along with the descriptions of George Square got muddled into my mind as “sausage stand”. My lame excuse? I’m going with the fact that the conversation was over 16 months ago and at that time I was so busy planning the trip. ahdn_paul_01 Yeah, lame I know. But I got nothing else.
