I had auditions for the spring musical at school the past three days and last night I made callbacks which is today in 30 minutes. Yesterday was pretty fun because a friend and I had brought our guitars. He wants me to teach him a bit and maybe start a band. When we were waiting for the list to come out there were a few other people still there including that really cool girl I like and we passed the guitars around and had a blast. She’s really good at guitar!! She was also fascinated as were others by my southpaw guitar and style.

Offline I just got back from callbacks about 30 minutes ago and that was really fun. At one point our director/drama teacher/my english teacher last year had me sing a song in a Liverpudlian accent.

Online A tragedy of Greek proportions!
Earlier, while wrestling a rubber band off of my teeth, I impaled my left index finger on the arch-wire at the very back of my very last bracket. (It’s not supposed to stick out, but I think perhaps my teeth have moved and that’s why it is). And now my finger is all sore, which means
I CAN’T PLAY GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My left middle finger got infected and swollen and I still played finger strumming just without that finger. Maybe you can play differently like using your middle finger instead of your index finger.

Last Halloween, I badly sprained my left wrist and was in a splint for about two months. I couldn’t play guitar, but did anyway.

I played league-style, so I used two lanes, with no delay between throws. I wouldn’t recommend essentially playing eight games in a row. Gawd, it is tiring. I was sweating like a pig, my thumb and middle finger were full of stinging cuts, and I felt like I would pass out by the end of it.
Still, it was a lot of fun.

Offline I’ve discovered the addiction that is candy crush. I do not however ever pay for in-app purchases so no doubt i’ll get bored in a few days after getting nowhere due to not paying £983.99 for the Unlimited treasure with bonus donuts pack.

Offline Thanks all for the private good wishes. Apologies for my lack of response. I’ve felt very quiet this weekend, and so have been very quiet this weekend, joyfully poring over my beautiful new Dylan book. (Thank you, somebody here.)
So, I’ll leave in a couple of hours for check-in before lunchtime. I probably won’t be on until the end of week. Other things to concentrate on, I’m afraid. Looking forward to this week. They’re going to tell me it’s been caught nice and early, and is easily treatable. I’m not going to need any of the nastier surgeries that result in bags to hold bodily waste. Just done, and a course of chemo (which most of my hair survives).
It will all be good.
