Yes! The power came back on this afternoon. Ahhh Mom and I finally could continue on with our Downton Abbey marathon. We watched season 4 and the first episode of season 5 before the power went out. We made it through 4 episodes today.
Before that, we watched parts 3&4 of The Beatles Anthology. We will delve into the remaining parts after Downton.

Have you seen the last ever episode that’s just been shown in the UK, @Ahhh Girl?
The Zeppelin crash-landing on Downtown!
Oh! The horror! The sheer inhumanity!
Cast favourite after cast favourite seeing their lives senselessly snuffed out as the Abbey went up in flames around them!
Oh! How I would have danced had it been so! Instead of the pointless drama that infected every miserable moment of that pile of garbage! Sorry, not a fan!

^ And I must admit, when deciding whether to spend $100 or so on the 1+ bluray or on 55 of the best classical CDs from Philips, it was no contest.
Yeah. We are suckers when it comes to Beatles.
I haven’t seen a second of ‘Downtown Abbey’. Have a real dislike for period dramas where it takes 17 months, 2 series and 12 episodes for the female heroine to ask the hunky brooding lead male if he takes sugar in his tea. However at the same time the uber-posh lady of the Estate is getting excited with the stable owner twice nightly when everyone else has gone. And only because the stables are at risk from the shouty man who has a cane and moustache. It then is revealed that the shouty man is the husky broody lead males brother. The latter plans to get the money thru blackmailing the uber-posh lady of the Estate.
I think I’ll submit one of my own to ITV and the BBC.
Its raining heavily here, very heavily, and has been for hours. And it’s not to stop for another few hours. I wonder if the ground is still visible or if I now live in the middle of a lake. If the latter anyone got a boat I can get access to?

I watched Downtown Abbey for two seasons and was bored. The whole “He loves me? He loves me not?” Is not my thing. I wish the show focused more on the duke running the place instead of the romance.

There is more of “running” the estate now. And more about how the world was changing during that time in history.

Another classical boxed set I have my eye on is currently discounted at Amazon Italy – will he, won’t he?
Shouldn’t you be saving for some important event in the future that features another forum attendee very heavily? Or is the venue going to be built out of classic cds?

The individual will find it a wee bit mystifying when the event consists of going outside for 5 minutes and having stale breadcrumbs and sea water for dinner.

Just don’t eat too fast or your stomach will be not too cheerful.
