So, today was actually slightly better than yesterday. As for the bratty, annoying kids part, my mom emailed by Math Applications teacher last night. All the teacher said was she would “keep an eye out on it”. I’m not too sure anything is going to change much after that. Since Math Apps is an orbit class with gym, the kids can still do it in gym class. Since I didn’t have Math Apps today (I had gym instead) the problem hasn’t been addressed further than that. Hopefully something will actually happen with the situation. If not, I get to have a bit of a talk with my guidance councilor ’bout this whole thing (and, y’know, trying to get people to stop reminding me how bad I am at gym class).
So, yeah. I guess people just want to be really annoying around me, for reasons I still am trying to piece together

In my limited experience, the nice ones get picked on. So you must be nice.
Seriously, though, I hope it’ll be Getting Better all the time.

Yes. Telling them very firmly to stop. I think my problem might be the fact that I am one of those people that’s always happy, or at least smiling, even when I’m being serious, most of the time.
So, from their logic:
Smiling = goofing around/not being serious
Serious = hilarious/*tells everyone the fact I told them to stop*

I was picked on. For example, my locker mate used to shove my head into the locker so hard that I would have blood in my hair.
I don’t have any advice for you, other than the words of Jesus Christ: “If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.”

Very nice. Incredibly thick and filling. Had two bowls 3 hours apart for my tea and have divided the rest into three containers, two of which will be put in the freezer. Healthy, nutritious and filling – perfect for a hearty meal.

I have my first job interview for a while this coming Monday – fingers firmly crossed.
It’s on the Learning & Development team at the Department of Immigration and Border Protection. It’s right up my alley in terms of what I have been doing for the last 5-10 years so I am quietly hopeful. As @HongKongLady says I just have to curb my enthusiasm and answer their questions a little more slowly than I sometimes do when I get too excited about something.

That’s funny. I was wondering about mmm’s soup this morning on my drive to work (it’s over an hour, lots of time to think). Glad to hear it was a success.

You need to find more things to occupy your mind if you were wondering about my soup.

Actually I was thinking about the lunch I was going to have that day as I brought along some pulled chicken that I made in the slow cooker over the weekend. One thought lead to another and then I remembered you had made some soup.
It’s not like I obsess about you…living in Scotland…and starting a new job…and having trouble with your knees…and liking to cook…and
Oh dear, maybe I do need to find more things to occupy my thoughts.

The people that were being rude to me didn’t criticize me during gym class. Probably because I was actually doing… *gasps* good at basketball. I consider that an accomplishment.
Also, next week is the last week before Christmas vacation. Hoping that all goes well! 🙂

Went to hear a boy choir (which a classmate of mine was participating in) sing Christmas carols. ‘Twas a fabulous experience. My favourite bits were where the audience could stand and sing.
Having been some days in preparation a splendid time was guaranteed for all.
Some of my friends were there and everyone was giving me Christmas presents and I hadn’t anything but a few hastily created cards, scribbled out at the last minute this afternoon! I shall be forever* ashamed.
And after all is said and done I’m still hearing the Beatles yodelling ‘Good King Wenceslas’ in my head: ‘All the snow lay roundabout, deep and crisp and crispy. Brightly shone the boot that night, though the winter cru-el, when a pork-pie came in sight, gathering winter gru-e-el’…
*At least until next Christmas, anyway.
