Just came back from my auditions for my school play about 2 hours ago. It actually went great! I was a bit nervous at first, I was shaking for a bit, but luckily pulled through. Hell, I even had to audition with that piece 3 times because the teacher both wanted to hear me again and wanted me to sing it without the paper. Everyone was saying I did great, even the teacher said I did awesome! And who knows, I might get the part!
But, if not, I don’t mind. As long as I don’t end up as Fiona, Shrek, or Donkey, I think I’ll be good
So happy!!!!

Finally found out my part today after having the suspense trickle up my spine like the blood flowing through my veins. Turns out I got a Fairy Godmother (since when is there a Fairy Godmother in Shrek????). But still, I’m pretty happy with my part. I’m just hoping the rehearsals and the play itself goes well within the next few months 🙂

Congrats @natureaker!
In my life: I’m currently foruming on a tablet which recently joined the Silly Family. I haven’t used it till today–everyone else was hogging it! ‘Tis a bit weird. I’m partial to typing. Also, autocorrect doesn’t like my Hibernoisms.
Had a grand day: presented my sorry little over-baked moonscape to the class and got a good laugh, then stayed on after for a potluck and games, which was uproarious fun–I laughed till my face hurt. And I had my guitar so I Brainwashed everyone with Beatlesongs.
They’re good lads, they are.

Bored is a state of mind, not a lack of entertainment.

And if there isn’t one?
How do you cope not having access to your email or being able to check whether mylovelycat#1 got her food last night?

I guess you have no choice but to do anything else.
Beatles Bible isn’t your internet concerns!

No. That state of mind is John-on-LSD.
What do people do without access to the internet? Does the world end?
No, they go into Internet withdrawal for a while, and then they move on and find other interests.
….I hope

Hi @natureaker – I was looking around and found quite a few full versions of Shrek The Musical Jr. on youtube. Maybe you can get an idea of what you’ll be performing 🙂 From the bit I’ve seen it looks like the Fairy Godmother is a fun part to play.

Keep going @Necko, don’t let the outcome set you back. You’ll get positive news soon on the job front. Just takes time and perseverance.
I’ve been awake since 4:15am, have to get ready to go out at 7:15am to work and I don’t finish till 5pm. Am tired but cannot sleep. Brain keeps jolting me awake.

Hang in there @Necko . It may seem bleak now, but eventually someone will be smart enough to hire you. It’s always tough to find that first job, but once you get one and establish yourself, it will be easier to get better jobs. Just speaking from experience and I hope that helps.

For my son it does 😉
Good luck with the jobs @Necko, in that same situation now.
