I’m at Sydney airport now; HKL’s plane is due to land in 30 minutes.
Lots of roadkill on the way down, not sure if any of it was still edible. At least 5 kangaroos and, more unfortunately, one wombat.
I either ran over the tail (yuck) or head (double yuck) of one newly killed roo.

Offline Tragedy!!!!!!! 
I spent all of yesterday afternoon working on a modelling-clay statue for class. It really looked quite nice, too. Then I put it in the oven, and I suppose I must’ve baked it too long, because it came out completely blackened and the floor-bit looked like the surface of the Moon or something! And one character, who was sitting, is now leaning back and looking, aghast, at the ceiling instead of at the other character, like he’s supposed to. The other character, meanwhile, is staring at him and wondering how he can lean back so far.
If it weren’t for the lunar-surface and the leaning-back, it might be passably bronze-statue-esque. Alas.
I suppose it’ll get a grand laugh when I sheepishly show up in class and present ‘The Tableau of Over-Baked Sculpey™ Clay’. 
Oh well–I’ll make it work.
Even so…

Offline AAAAH @HongKongLady and @trcanberra are together! Great. Hope you two have fun, but I’m sure that’ll go well *wink wink*
We celebrated Sinterklaas on Saturday and I got some lovely presents. Very pleased. I’m also glad my grandma loved her presents.
Tomorrow I’m going out for dinner with a few other interns whom I really get along with. Looking forward to that.
And then on Saturday…pampampaaam..I’ve got a date
