Now I vaguely remember seeing that girl with a boy a couple months back. So maybe that’s not an option anymore although she kinda has flirted with me a bit. We’ll see what happens tomorrow a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Vaguely?

A couple months back?

Goodness me – test the waters now!

I’m bloody stupid guys. So this morning I was talking with my friend out on the quad here at school and none other than the girl happens to show up to talk to one of her friends nearby. There were only five minutes left until the warning bell rang so my friend kept trying to convince me to go over there and talk to her but I stalled and ran out of time. So I guess I’ve failed. And I also discovered that the deadline to buy tickets is Thursday so I’ve only got until then, tomorrow really to ask her. So I’m sitting her a lone at lunch weighing my options. Might try to go find her soon but I think I’ve failed. I suck at lifea-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

You’re growing up and you’re naturally shy………

You don’t suck at life.

God I remember the walk across the dance floor….Where you start off with an ‘it’s now or never….purposeful stride’ then you feels all the eyes on you waiting to see what will happen…..will she accept or turn you down?..The length of the dance floor grows and your confident gait dissolves and your arms and legs feel like they’re connected to strings and by the end you look like a gangly Thunderbird’s puppet…….

Looking back I can see romance is a bit like golf…….. All the crap shots are made up for by the odd brilliant one.

I reckon you’ve missed the boat with this girl…..I’m sure there are a few girls who like a ditherer, but not many. If this girl wants you to ask her she’d have engineered it herself by now somehow.

So don’t feel too bad about yourself………Behind ever purposeful stride there’s a Thunderbirds’ puppet hiding his shyness.

Tip 1: find something you’re good at…..work at it…….get very good at it. If you’re confident about that skill or talent it will breed confidence in other aspects of your life.

Tip 2: Girls love to be put on a pedestal……..and they hate it. If you can understand that rule you’re half-way there…..(You’ll never get further than half-way, if you do the rules change).

Packing – packing – packing.

32 boxes done and it’s finally starting to look like I have done some packing.

9 days left until the move.

You are half way there! Just stop with the 64th box and chunk out anything left.

Good plan. I should be done When I’m 64. The new place is about half the size of the old so I’ve been culling around 70% of my “stuff” to allow for the lack of garage overflow storage.

You do the packing and will do the unpack when I’m get there! 🙂

^ It’s a very nice offer, but I’m not sure that unpacking boxes is the best way to spend a holiday in Oz 🙂

Ok so I didn’t see her at all afterwards so now tomorrow is my last chance to repair my cockup. Oh how I love my life /s

I guess I could try and date her normally after the dance. Or just give up. Idk why I even have any hope of making a girl like me. Especially one that I don’t know besides through second hand experience ahdn_paul_01

Ok so I didn’t ask her out today so I’m not going to the dance obviously. But what I found weird is that although I had resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn’t see her at all today, I passed her three times in the hallway today and she was alone and she smiled at me a few times. I just couldn’t bring myself to ask her though. Ugh I’m such a weak person a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

So I was chatting with HKL about the possum I mentioned earlier. I heard a growling noise and turned sideways to find it looking at me from the gap between the fridge and the cupboard.

4 hours on and the Mexican standoff continues while I wait for an expert to remove it.

[EDIT] The hostage crisis is over, the kitchen is mine again; for the moment.

Tomorrow we try and find out where the possum is entering the house and plug the holes. I hope it doesn’t return overnight, but it probably will – but two of the most obvious holes have been plugged so the kitchen may be safe.

If possums were in the area where you live before you moved in its far more likely you’re in his territory than (s)he in yours. I therefore think that having him evicted is incredibly unfair and the only solution would be to invite him to stay, at least for some tea. Possums have rights as well you know.

And its cute, look at it.

possum2.jpgImage Enlarger

There is actually a whole website for living with possums. You could take him/her with you when you move and have a nice friend you can go walks with.

Actually reading thru that website its more about getting them back into the wild, no idea why its called living with possums. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

^ It’s welcome to the whole of the backyard, which is where it belongs, rather than inside chewing through the wiring and defecating on the carpet.

That gives it around 3/4 of the land area – which seems fair to me.

Maybe it gets lonely and cold. How can you say no to giving it a bit of company? Man and beast can live together in harmony in the same house, have you never read ‘The Tiger That Came To Tea‘?
