Kidding, I still love historical thingies… but I wouldn’t want to live in any decade before that particular one.

I figured I’d go ahead and edit out our last name, as I”m sure the edit history is only available to members. Anyone who wanted to take me up on the facebook friend offer already did, or if you still want to, pm me.

Am currently risking my life, limbs and organs doing something highly dangerous and would be advised not to do.

I’m eating a couple of bacon and (goose) egg rolls for lunch.

Some pleasures are win-win, i.e. they make you younger. Look at Paul, Mick, & especially Ringo! I wonder if “performance” (in whatever sense) keeps you going…they certainly say physical movement keeps you mobile and healthier. I’ve found (recently) that love makes you younger and (over the past few years) random acts of kindness make me feel younger (or at least happier). Cuz it’s not really youth or years that we’re seeking (by “youth” I mean I feel I have more years ahead of me). Although our bodies ached less when we were younger, physical pain pales in comparison to emotional well-being and the bits of pure happiness we can grab along the way. As you say it’s not years we’re seeking – it’s happiness or at least contentment in the years we have. I will conclude my sermon by invoking the last line of The End a-hard-days-night-john-2a-hard-days-night-john-6a-hard-days-night-paul-8ahdn_george_08heart

My dear friends!!! You will forgive me ??

This year I’m studying hard (for the assessment to go to a university) and I’m not having much time to visit my dear FabForum 🙁

Wanted to thank you for all this affection that had me, what would I do without you !!

Now, I’m already at the end of the year and I promise I will visit more often the forum (if you allow it of course).

So nice to see you here again, @Rita Eleanor ! You are always welcome. I wish you the best in your studies.

Update on the school threat: School has been getting stranger and stranger since that dang threat. The kid was in my grade, but I was fortunate enough to not have him in any of my classes. He had a “hit list” which I was lucky not to be on it. It was rumored he went to a mental hospital, but he was being checked if he should go to a mental hospital. Today he was back in school. Strangely enough, there was an ambulance and fire trucks at the school this morning because the custodian got a concussion.

So yeah, I apologize it’s a little long, I can’t wait until the weekend since I won’t have to deal with this. Hopefully tomorrow shouldn’t be too bad

Agreed! Whatever is on your mind (and that most deservedly must have weighed on it for some time), you will find listeners, sympathizers, and empathizers here. And as in most forums this size, someone who can relate at least fairly well to your situation (hopefully none of us can truly relate to having a terror threat at our school though!). *shudders*

Currently celebrating that this Long, Long, Long week is over. School has seemingly been going back to normal – little talk about the threats and everything that decided to crush up the school. Besides, I ended up spending half the day rolling my eyes at some kid that tells me I’m not “fast enough” to be on defense in gym. But if you think about it, you should technically be faster if you’re on offense, because if you run and get tagged, you’re out until you restart the game. If you’re on defense, if you miss tagging a person, you can get another person to tag them and/or tag another person.

And guess who played defense half the time? The human that typed this and was told they weren’t fast enough for being on defensea-hard-days-night-george-10

Good on you, @natureaker . You don’t have to be fast to play defense – you just have to know where to be at the right time and take a straight line to get there.

Well it looks like I wont be going to homecoming with that girl because I never got around to talking to her and next week is the only time left before the dance and I think by that time its too late. I was going to ask her but I couldn’t find her at all. I havent seen her in the last three days. So yeah go me for being a scaredycat and not asking her earlier. But on the other hand she probably wouldnt have said yes anyways. ahdn_paul_01

Well, I went to a Halloween party yesterday…

As it turned out, however, my two best friends were the only ones I knew there, and one was too busy flitting about being the life of the party to chat with me personally. The other, also shy like myself, did hang with me a bit. Well, there was an open ‘wallflower’ position, so I rose to the occasion… ahdn_paul_01

During the party my friend was taking song requests. I put in a request for Long, Long, Long , because I thought it really fit the spooky Halloween vibe, especially with that ending. Well! Apparently others thought differently. No sooner had it come on than some mannerless maggot-headed knave goes, ‘Oh, what crap! Time to put on the beats.’ Whatever that means. And bold as you please, he strides over, unplugs my friend’s device which is playing the song, and puts on his own unholy noise. paul-mccartney

Well! I was fairly well infuriated, I can tell you. I actually rammed my whole physical presence (not much, alas– I amn’t what you’d call stout) into his, in a vain attempt to prevent his tampering. Unfortunately it was ineffective. So in a high dudgeon, but powerless, I retreated to the wall to hide behind the comfortingly solid presence of Martin in his case and fume. a-hard-days-night-john-7

A bit later, when the others were all going to play some obscene card game which I had no wish whatsoever to partake in, I stopped the music, just as abruptly as my song had been stopped before (when mannerless maggothead protested, I simply shot this back at him), and unpacked Martin. Several faces who had missed Martin’s arrival were duly impressed. Then without ceremony I proceeded to play Long, Long, Long , nice and loud.

When I’d finished and mannerless maggothead was looking at me somewhat impressed, I informed him, with malicious glee, that that was the song I’d been playing that he’d interrupted. a-hard-days-night-john-1

Nothing so satisfying as a dish of good cold revenge, eh? a-hard-days-night-john-6

Then I played EDAW, and then Here Comes The Sun , harder, faster, and better than I’d ever done in my life. A fair amount of temper, I’ve discovered, does wonders for one’s music. And then I played Wish You Were Here, and mannerless maggothead goes ‘Ooh, Pink Floyd!’ after he’d just utterly trashed a song by an even better British classic rock band. a-hard-days-night-paul-3 I suppose PF is coolandhipper or something. a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Anyways, while I was playing that, toward the end, a cousin of the host came walking up to admire Martin, saying he was just the sort she’d wanted, only she’d had to get the Martin Junior, because a regular dreadnought was too large for her to wrap her arms round. Well, we ended up in a deep and involved discussion of guitars, music theory, chords, capos, music, and how I got turned on the the Beatles (she asked me, in those very words). I played a bit of Give Me Love and got to the ‘give me light’ line with that awesome Bb minor chord and she says, that’s a Beatles song, isn’t it? Well, it wasn’t, it was George Harrison , but that only furthers the theory I’m cooking up about how and why George’s solo music always seemed more Beatlefull than any of the others… a-hard-days-night-paul-9

So yeah, mixed feelings, and I was still pissed at mannerless maggothead hours later, but I told myself, George probably wouldn’t give a damn, so neither should I. And it turned out pretty good, finding a kindred guitarist.

Wow, that was long… ahhh, feels so good though.
