There wasn’t an attack happening, in fact my mom just heard about it on the news. The only thing they said was there was some sort of threat. It was really strange.

It’s good to hear that all turned out okay, @natureaker. If it’s the same incident I’ve just been looking at, it was an anonymous bomb threat, and police have a suspect in custody.

Slightly off-topic:

Wow that is so cool @Beatlebug! If anyone doesn’t know, Hoagy Carmichael wrote it and performs it in the 1944 move To Have and Have Not, which is the one that Bogie & Bacall fell in love making. So cool that George covered it. Great find 🙂

We’re home. 2486.6 miles (4003km – could I write that as 4kkm?) later. It was a wonderful honeymoon, got to spend Sunday relaxing at a dear friend’s house that was on our route. There were some serious repairs needed to my flat, but they finished all the critical ones (mold and bulging ceiling over the bed due to a leak), and are just finishing up tile replacement in the bathroom. Hats off to mom, who managed to get the carpet cleaned and stocked the fridge, made the bed (it was pushed to the other end of the bedroom so they could access the ceiling problem), and added a couple personal touches like laying out a couple pics from our first wedding on the end table. I am so lucky to have a 77yo mom who is in great health and is active! Life and love are wonderful 🙂 It really feels like the poppy Peaches and Herb (Reunited) hit says, “There’s one perfect fit, and, sugar, this one is it.”

More examples of how cool she is, sorry to run on about it…last night she showed me the ebook she’s currently reading – Kane’s When They Were Boys . One of the songs on her ipad is the obscure Gilbert O’Sullivan 70s pop hit Alone Again, Naturally – which I’ve always loved.

I hope she joins us, but she has her own internet life, not sure if there’s room in it for another forum/family/time sink.

Thanks to y’all who make me feel like family and share personal things about ourselves, I’m comfortable sharing them and trust y’all with the info. You’re all so cool 🙂 Sorry if I’m sappy but I try to share happiness with the people around me, anything to  make someone smile is my motto 🙂

I actually didn’t know that, I was just giving ‘Somewhere In England ‘ a listen and thought of HKL when I heard that.

Its scary how fast time goes by.

Four weeks ago feels like yesterday, summer vanished quicker than it arrived and Christmas is somehow less than 60 days away.

My sister, partner and daughter came over from Sweden last Friday, tomorrow they go back. Feels like they are here for 20 seconds. Doesnt help that I didnt get to see them today as was working and tomorrow they are flying early from elsewhere in Scotland.

Not here. Only 12 days to go – I’m exhausted from packing – and it looks like I’ve hardly even started.

I might go out for lunch to unwind a bit then pack some more in the afternoon.

My favourite lines from that song:

Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled lines

I’ve got two days off work, Ellie and the kids are up north with the in-laws. I’ve spent today doing web stuff; tomorrow I’m working on the book. It’s been productive so far. I should do this more often.

Just saved myself from a bollocking from my mam as I managed to fix the family-laptop that of course the second she leaves the house and I go on the blasted thing decides to shut itself down after less than a minute everytime I start it up. Managed to (hopefully) stop it from shutting down and saved my skin in the process as I know I’d be blamed for it overheating (my mam would insist I’d put a virus on the thing).

Now hopefully it won’t shut down, I’m going strong for about 5 minutes- go team!

My dear friends!!! You will forgive me ??

This year I’m studying hard (for the assessment to go to a university) and I’m not having much time to visit my dear FabForum 🙁

Wanted to thank you for all this affection that had me, what would I do without you !!

Now, I’m already at the end of the year and I promise I will visit more often the forum (if you allow it of course).

Oh, and if you have any doubt about Brazil, can ask me I’ll be happy to answer them!

You will forgive me ?? Do not feel betrayed, I still love you so much, you know?

Thank you for all!!

Kisses

I got my Halloween costume today, after procrastinating this whole damn month. I’m being a 50’s girl wearing a poodle skirt

Update on the school threat: School has been getting stranger and stranger since that dang threat. The kid was in my grade, but I was fortunate enough to not have him in any of my classes. He had a “hit list” which I was lucky not to be on it. It was rumored he went to a mental hospital, but he was being checked if he should go to a mental hospital. Today he was back in school. Strangely enough, there was an ambulance and fire trucks at the school this morning because the custodian got a concussion.

So yeah, I apologize it’s a little long, I can’t wait until the weekend since I won’t have to deal with this. Hopefully tomorrow shouldn’t be too bad
