VB just wanted to go to the roof twice.

Hahaha. Are you telling stories about me, @Mr. Kite? :)

This is very funny! But the REAL reason for my two accounts, as everybody should know, is this: Two weeks after my initial membership, I wanted to make an immediate post while at work, and my unmemorable password (the temporary one I was assigned, before I realized it could be changed) was written down at home; therefore I created a new account. At the time, my total posts probably didn’t exceed double digits; my rooftop dreams were unimaginably far in the future. A double rooftop was undreamt of.

That’s my story. Oh, and as regards your slander, you’ll be hearing from my attorney! :D heart

(justkidding)

I thought I remember you saying that somewhere, sorry! a-hard-days-night-george-9

Now if anyone asks again I have the correct backstory.

I am about to do my usual hot, dirty Friday evening activity that gets me all worked up and sweaty.

No this isn’t Fifty Shades material. Time to put on the White Album and start mowing.

That must be pretty cool when you’re doing your usual hot, dirty Friday evening activity, getting all worked up and sweaty, listening to the White Album … and Paul sings “Find me in my field of grass…” :)

Now I can’t wait until next Friday!

Shoot, I may have to offer to mow the neighbor’s yard this weekend.

Paul is quite fond of the intoxicating aroma of a new-mown lawn. He admitted it in the song “Heart Of The Country ,” when he sang “…smell the grass in the meadow…” And, his character in “Get Back ,” JoJo left his home in Tuscon, Arizona, for some California grass. So… uh, there’s that, too.

Seattle, Washington has a reputation for rain, but July and August in this area are traditionally so dry, it is much like a desert climate. All the grass around here is withered and brown and dormant, unless you water the heck out of it, which I don’t. I won’t have to mow my lawn ’til autumn.

Ever been to Richland? I lived there when my father worked at the Hanford plant. I was shocked to find it a little dusty desert town. I had this image of forests with neverending rain and flannel shirts galore (thanks to pop culture’s stereotyping of Seattle in the early-to-mid 90s– it was around ’96 when we moved to Richland) and instead it was the desert. Seattle was a nice city the several times we visited.

I’ve never been to Seattle this time of year, so I haven’t caught the dry part of the year. Here we had an uncharacteristically wet June, but now its starting to get really dry. Not too hot though. It hasn’t gotten above 90 yet

If you can get to a Barnes and Noble it was only $10. That’s cheap for a new movie! Especially there, because their movies and music are usually a lot.
I reserved it at the store online though and maybe it was an online deal I got in person due to that, I don’t know, but not a bad price if you want it.

I did that in Germany along with a Greek girl, we just sat in 1st Class* (I don’t really know why), an inspector came up and starting talking to us in German. I started speaking Irish, she started speaking Greek-we got off scott-free.

Want to learn an endangered language/Greek/Klingon?

*We weren’t being total pricks, we had 2nd class tickets and our journey was about 2 minutes :P

@AppleScruffJunior well, couldn’t get away with that with a Dutch inspector of course. As expected, no one came to check our tickets.

Now that’s pretty tired! Did you find anything to buy in Amsterdam? Did you have a nice meal there?

Yeah I sort of bought 2 pairs of shoes, 2 bags, a hat and a lot of clothes. Let’s just say my bankaccount didn’t enjoy it as much as I did :’D Only had a piece of apple pie for lunch and a sandwich for dinner. Wasn’t that hungry.

I am working on picking pictures to print from the part of our vacation when we were in Athens. I am using Publisher to put some of the pictures together on one 4×6 print (making little collages). Some pictures are interesting, but not enough to be by themselves on a whole picture.

Here are a few pictures.

IMG_3679a.jpgImage Enlarger
IMG_3739a.jpgImage Enlarger
IMG_3591.JPGImage Enlarger

EDIT: At the moment I am seeing the pictures in Chrome and on my phone, but not in Firefox. If I don’t see them soon, I’ll add a note to the funny things going on with the forum thread.

EDIT to the EDIT: Dang you, Kite. I typed “thongs” at first.

Nice pictures! AG foods seems perfect for you to stumble upon… I would have more to say except on mobile when ever I zoom in or out the pictures shrink each time and yours have completely disappeared!

About that thong… Thing… For some reason my autocorrect thinks I want to talk about thongs! (I swear its accidental! a-hard-days-night-george-10) Whenever I type were it always corrects to we’re and I have to delete it and retype. When I type thongs it just sits there!!
Now of course right now two out of the three times I wrote thongs intentionally (four now) it tried to correct to things and when I wrote we’re it left it alone… It knows I’m telling on it!

Edit: HA! See! Gotcha autocorrect!

I really like looking at these pictures, Ahhh Girl. I’ve never been to Greece, and the closest I’ll probably ever get is my former manager’s Greek restaurant, where even if i don’t visit Glyfada, I can at least order Chicken Glyfada. It’s interesting to see the ancient ruins co-existing with the modern buildings that surround them. And your photographs are nice compositions, too. You have a good photographic “eye.” I hope you post some more pictures. :)

Thank you. It’s been a long few months, but this site has bettered me. Thanks to you lot, you’ve encouraged me to carry on playing my guitar and singing, and hopefully making a living out of those if all goes to plan. I’m optimistic; I’ve gotten three guitars in just over a month, and I’m getting another for Christmas. I know who I want to be, and I know what I want to do – you’ve all helped get me there. I’ve overcome a lot and achieved several goals in my time here. What was once the bane of my existence is now just a memory of a bad reaction – and now, a year later, I think I’m finally over it.
