For my birthday, my family and I went to King Richard’s Faire. It was great, and surprisingly lots of people doing magic tricks. There was even a French guy with a black marker mustache that almost set himself on fire. Some kids were quite disappointed about him not getting set on fire.Also, I got my first phone, and I believe it’s an IPhone 5s (or 5c, I can’t remember) and I’ve already had a few Beatley moments somehow, someway involving the phone.
Besides freezing to death at the Faire, it wasn’t too bad for a birthday 🙂

Offline Well I only got two hours of sleep last night because I was up until about 2 talking with that girl and well it didn’t go well. She had me text one of her friends in a group chat anonymously because shes writing a book and the characters are based off of her friends and she wanted to see how we’d interact with each other. I wasn’t supposed to know who it was but I figured it out and I told her that I knew after we had talked for a while and she got pissed. Anyways, leaving a lot of stuff out here, one thing led to another and basically she said that the reason why we “broke up” a few weeks ago wasn’t because of religion but actually because I’m a depressing person. She said that she was happy with me in the beginning but I eventually started to make her depressed. Now I feel really bad. Then to add insult to injury she further adds that she and her friend that I was texting later got involved in a small relationship literally two weeks after we broke up and that she kissed him many times. She’d never actually kissed before. This hurts me so much because she literally just threw me away and found someone else even though she had said that she wouldnt get in a relationship for a long time after me. And then she kissed him which was probably the worst because she had always been trying to get me to kiss her and she’d said that she’d wanted me to be her first kiss.
Anyways, she said she regretted what she did with him and said that that relationship is over in every way but also said that our relationship was also over and we could never be together like we were again. I don’t know what I expected really I thought from the things we had done and things she’d said that we were getting closer again. But I guess not. This is just devastating

Just wondering if maybe you moved a little slowly. It’s all part of the learning experience. Just try to have fun around the ladies and try not to over-think things or get too serious too soon.

Grieve, mourn, go thru all the feelings that arise @UnidentifiedFiendishThingy but dont believe all the negative bullshit that will flood your mind at times.
It will pass but there is no time factor (“We cannot time our wounds to heal on human clocks“), just ensure you dont wallow in the lows and pain. You will come out the other side stronger and wiser.

Offline My credit card company sent me a new card with a chip in it today. The rep on the phone said that when I’m in the UK/Europe I will insert my card and be prompted for a signature. I hope she is right. When I was over there in April, the folks at Boots looked at me like I was a dinosaur when I had to slide my magnetic strip to pay. I made many trips into Boots to get blister plasters. I didn’t get a single blister on my previous 4 European jaunts. I have no idea why this time was different. I wore the same brand of shoes that I had worn on two of the previous trips.
