Writing a Zeppelin inspired acoustic hard rock instrumental.
I messed around with the tuning this morning until I got a sound I wanted and thought of a little progression. Although, I recorded a pretty good beginning and thought of another part so my original idea might not be in the final song and it may be less hard rock.
Either way should be up today or tomorrow!Sounds good, can’t wait to hear it. Do you plan on it sounding a bit like Over the Hills and Far Away, sort of starting slowly, acoustic, then switching to electric for the rest? (at least I think it’s like that…)
@Mr. Kite
Not too familiar with Zeppelin yet, just III, so don’t know Over the Hills and Far Away, but for now it’s staying fully acoustic. i’ve ditched the odd tuning, but I might use that for another song. I used the tuning on the intro, but it’s some single note stuff that could be played in standard tuning. It might be becoming less Zeppeliney, but it should still be good. I hope!

I’d love to know which British accent you had in mind. There are dozens here to choose from. In my office alone I can hear Welsh, Scots, Irish and English, and there are dozens of regional accents from each of those countries!
Keep your hair colour, accent and friends. Make new friends, buy great clothes. 60s haircuts are good (I’d favour a bob over a Twiggy crop but it depends on your looks).

I need the same sort of thing but it’s not about personality. It’s me needing a signature piece of my posting style. Let me explain. parlance puts her name at the end of every post. Von Bontee has two accounts. Mr. Kite has “The Gif”. I need something like that for myself. Something original. Something unique. Something that says something about me. Can you help? Thanks!
By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

You have to stumble upon it, you can’t try and make it.
parlance has said it’s a habit from letter writing.
VB just wanted to go to the roof twice.
I just found a GIF that fit the conversation and AG liked.
Also if we help you find it, it’s not something about you. You just need to enjoy the forum, the people, the conversation, and most importantly enjoy The Beatles!

I dont get why you feel you need ‘something’ @thisbirdhasflown. You’ll fit in and enjoy yourself far more if you are let all that go and just join in. Its more about how you conduct yourself and what you post rather than anything else.

So, originally my name is Kellie Rogers, very boring, and I have long Jane-red hair and a black and drab wardrobe. Yet, lately I’ve found myself wanting something more vibrant and new. Here is my ideas on how to improve myself:Option 1: I go by my middle name, Ranae, and spice up my wardrobe with some psychedelic shift dresses. I could also dye my hair blonde and cut it short like Twiggy….
Option 2: I talk in a fake British accent and leave my unsatisfying friend group. Twiggy hair is still an option…
Option 3: I go by Ranae and have the accent and the dresses and the haircut…
Option 4: Keep my haircut, ditch my clothes (and the friends), embrace the accent (and Ranae Rogers), and be someone else…
Option 5: Shutup and crawl back into my craphole of a life…
Please give me feedback! Thanks xoxo
I rolled this into the In my life thread, but because it sorts everything chronologically the replies are spread over several pages. I hasn’t anticipated that. Sorry everyone.

No you don’t, I’m as boring as paint drying on a wall- the only thing about me is I nearly always have a George avatar (100 points for anyone who can remember my original avatar).

Welcome to the mod world, @Joe. You’ll get the hang of it. We should have been keeping you in the loop when we have discussed issues we have come across like that. Please, please, do not make the mistake mmm and I both made and delete a whole thread.

Now that’s pretty tired! Did you find anything to buy in Amsterdam? Did you have a nice meal there?

I’m watching A Hard Day’s Night on BBC Four. They just sang If I Fell and everyone is dressed amazingly well. I feel like getting a load of sharply tailored suits and living in monochrome.
(I’ve also had a bit of wine. Hic! Bed now.)

VB just wanted to go to the roof twice.
Hahaha. Are you telling stories about me, @Mr. Kite?
This is very funny! But the REAL reason for my two accounts, as everybody should know, is this: Two weeks after my initial membership, I wanted to make an immediate post while at work, and my unmemorable password (the temporary one I was assigned, before I realized it could be changed) was written down at home; therefore I created a new account. At the time, my total posts probably didn’t exceed double digits; my rooftop dreams were unimaginably far in the future. A double rooftop was undreamt of.
That’s my story. Oh, and as regards your slander, you’ll be hearing from my attorney!
