This week, I found two unknown pills in my bottle of allergy medication.  I entered their details into the drugs.com pill identifier and it came back as Klonopin – an anti-anxiety drug.  I don’t know anybody prescribed on Klonopin.  I’m still scratching my head over that one.

Have you taken the bottle out when you were out and about with friends?

I don’t want to suggest that perhaps you imbibed too much one night with said friends and a mix-up occurred with the bottle 🙂

That’s a good hypothesis, but I don’t think so.

I’ve taken Klonopin before. You probably figured this out online, but it’s related in both chemical structure and mode of action to Xanax and Valium. It’s definitely not to be played with and should you dispose of it please turn it in to a Chemist/Pharmacist rather than just throwing it in the waste stream (really, we should do that with all medications, including non-prescription ones).

If the allergy medication is prescribed, the dispensary would appreciate you telling them you found the pills in those bottles – in the states it’s scheduled as dangerous enough that they have to keep records of every pill that’s dispensed and account for discrepancies. A loss of two klonopin would probably not bring any serious repercussions down on them as long as they don’t make a habit of it, but the Pharmacist will rest easier.

Half of what I say is meaningless...

I feel good in a special way, I'm in love and it's a sunny day

If you find unknown pills in your medication or anything you are unsure about inform the local pharmacy or your doctor and do not take them. May sound blatantly obvious but no doubt some folk swallow anything given without ensuring beforehand if they should be. Could easily be a mix-up.

I just got this keyboard.

You can adjust the width to match the width of you shoulders, etc. It is supposed to cut down on strain while typing.

Why would you have it attached to your shoulders? Seems a daft place to place a keyboard; maybe thats where the strain is coming from in the first place. Best to have it in front of me, makes typing easier.

Congratulations @AppleScruffJunior well done girl! Never doubted it, you’re smart!

I’ve tried to enjoy my last week of vacation and also had a doctor’s appointment and had to get blood samples in the hospital. Hope they’ll find something. I also got a nice bag full of medicines, cremes and shampoo for all my other complaints.

Yesterday I went to meet the people from my internship, my mentors and the other interns. To my surprise an old friend of mine will be doing her internship at the same place. A mutual friend was there too. So that was pretty cool. They told me which class I would be in, and introduced me to the teachers. Monday I’ll be meeting the kids (the class has 7 students) as they’ll be picking up their books. Afterwards we’ll talk through things, what I’ll have to do, the general stuff..and then on Wednesday fun begins. I’m both looking forward to it and scared at the same time. First impressions are good.

Today was a good day for me. I went to a pool party with my Rainbow Girls group, and it was great. We swam in the ice – cold water (and by ‘swam’, I mean stand in the pool, freezing ourselves). We played a few water balloon games, where one of them we run to a chair, and pop a balloon with your, well… behind. Later, we had lunch at 2 P.M. because why not. Then, we swam some more, got some candy, and then talked about wisdom teeth, because one of the girls there is getting hers out tomorrow. It was quite the conversation…

Now, I’m at home, trying to survive without our A/C because it brokea-hard-days-night-ringo-14 But until then, it was greata-hard-days-night-george-9

My daughter and her partner came over last night with 4 of their friends and we played cards. It was great. We played 500 – in a “tag” version. It’s one of my favourite card games (well, normal 500 is) but I haven’t managed to find people to play it with for over 10 years. The games and the company were wonderful (as was the overdose of chocolate).

On the down side my other daughter spent the previous night in hospital with severe flu and her partner spent the same night in the same hospital after an automobile accident. They are both out now and hopefully on the mend.

Warm outside. Was going to do some gardening but too hot to do anything without needing some contraption to keep the heat down.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 It’s hot here too, the high is low to mid 90s. Its actually kind of a shocker because when it was 50 degrees in June, I had lost my hope for summer before it started!
