Thanks everyone 🙂

I’m really happy that I got that scholarship because it takes a lot of financial pressure off my family so I’m very happy!

There are some frills which don’t add much to the tale; the essentials are that my X was over picking up some mail and (as I found out after she was gone) while I was making her some tea she wandered into my room and stole a photo frame which had a nice picture of @HongKongLady in it.

HKL and I made up a nice story with Rapunzel elements and a rescue by Prince TRC – with the aid of AD’s volcano and 40 dogs (the latter to distract the guards at the tower where the evil witch was holding HKL captive).

Negotiations are continuing on the release of the photograph – they are not going well.

Yeah it really is. I ordered the parts to build a new computer a couple weeks ago and it was around $750. And the parts only got here yesterday so I don’t know if i’ll have the time to build it because of school. Free 5 day shipping was such a scam a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

Look its a thingy! A fiendish thingy!

Just came home from the McAuliffe Discovery Center in New Hampshire. It was okay, but it didn’t really appeal to me much. I’m not too interested in space and planets

Saw ‘The Man From Uncle’ this week. Had lowered expectations because of some reviews I read…..But I like Guy Ritchie films and I liked ‘The Man From Uncle’ as a kid….(Though all the spin-off films made in the 60’s were dreadful).

Well I loved it. Great 60’s feel..low high-tech. ‘Huge Grunt’ made a good ‘Waverly’…….Some laughs….some excitement……for me some nostalgia so money well spent….I might go again..maybe spot Beckham next time, I’d forgotten he was in it.

Roll on the next one……Ritchie has to do something waiting for Downey Jr and Law to be free for the next Sherlock Holms movie.

I’d just like to say that I havent had a spot of rain where i am and none is forecast for a good few days.

Just thought it be important considering the reports coming out are that the whole of the UK has returned to the days of Arks and animals going two-by-two.

Seems to come in cycles. When I was there in 2007 people on the continent, on hearing I had hired a canal boat in the UK, were telling me it was a great move as I wouldn’t be restricted to just traveling along the canals in it.

Thursday was a good day.

It started when a recent acquaintance texted me to ask for a ride to the car parts store. The night before, I had been helping him fix his brakes, and lent him my ratchet & socket set. By the time it was all over, what I did qualified as a Random Act of Kindness (and you know how good it feels when you do one).

After dinner, I played bridge with my mentor. We did well, scoring in the upper half, and earning master points.

I got home around 11:30 and there’s a little pub within walking distance of my flat. They had karaoke and I sang All My Loving . I noticed dude waving at me and pointing at an attractive young lady, so I played it up and sang “to” her. After the song was over, she came up to me, hugged me several times, and gave me a great compliment on my singing. All My Loving is right in my sweet spot, and I can even hit the high notes at the end, but my voice is far from good. Nonetheless, we all know how nice it is when a young cutie flirts with us 🙂 It was the perfect topper to the day. And she didn’t even seem drunk!

@trcanberra, sorry if you looked for this post last night – I passed out in front of the computer before I got to it. Maybe I had more to drink than I thought…tg for pubs within walking distance!
