Hello forumpudlians, how are you all?
“Been away so long I hardly knew the place, gee it’s good to be back home.”
So, I was busy with life (read: junior year) so didn’t get time to log on to BB Forum. Didn’t realise until today that yesterday was my BBF birthday.

Wonderful days.
Got hired for 2 internships, with a similar goal and function. I will have to pick one but I can’t make my mind up. I have to decide soon though, contracts have been sent to me already.
I also succeeded my second attempt of an exam I had failed, that was worth 9 ECTS, and got another good mark back for another exam that was 3 ECTS. Today I had an assessment that was worth 12 ECTS, and scored very well. A few classmates had warned me that it would be difficult, and they both just passed it, but I got an 8 out of 10 so FU bitches. We also had to do a group presentation today and got very positive feedback. Academically, everything is going great!
Also went to town with my grandma yesterday. I had to pick a belated birthday present, but as her washing machine broke, and some other stuff too, I felt bad picking something really expensive. She pushed me a bit though, saying I wouldn’t have to worry about the money. In the end I went with a beautiful silver bracelet, very simple, but braided in a different way and very classy. Love it. I was very grateful for the present, and also very grateful that I could do this with her and that she felt good enough. We then went for tea in this lovely teahouse. I had promised her this when she was still sick in bed at the start of the year. I had promised her I would take her as soon as she could be outside again. We never thought this would happen so it was great. She’s just very annoyed at the fact the has to sit in a wheelchair most of the time. She will turn 86 on the 30th, who would’ve thought!

I’m back!
Everything in my life seems to be going so quickly. Today I had my last exam and tomorrow is my last day of school.
I’m moving in a week. It all seems so unreal. I’ve already had to say goodbye to a couple of people and that was quite hard.
Of course I’m excited to move and meet new people but I’m dreading it at the same time.
And on top of that there is still so much left that I need to pack…

Yay for good news!
Also good to see you back beatleeva, good luck with moving 🙂
With my new found freedom, I have begun studying for my driver’s theory test, learning Python and I just started a course in Mandarin Chinese- a financial accounting course is also starting in 2 weeks time so I’ll be busy throughout the summer along with my copious amounts of leisurely reading of course.

That’s great that you had a wonderful time with your grandmother, Linde.
Beatleva, make sure you take us with you to your next house. No internet = you can’t live there. We enjoy your company too much.

Hiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m back!
I noticed @Ahhh Girl was wondering where I was. No, there’s no problem with oxygen; it’s just that I had lost laptop privileges.
I’ve gotten a reprieve, so here I am. But in future, I may not be able to log on as regularly as before.
Now I’m going to plough through that 48-thread high stack of unread posts that have accumulated…
(BTW, I’m not actually in NC just now. I’m two states south of that, visiting family. Going to do a ‘concert’ tomorrow night– will disclose more later.)

I just finished recording my two original songs! Composed by me (with a little help from my guitar teacher). I’m very proud of them.

Hi all, just a quick update from @HongKongLady
Firstly, she said to pass on her thanks for all the good wishes over the loss of her good friend.
Secondly, she expects to be back in these parts towards the end of the month or early in July.

Just a quick update on @HongKongLady – she has lost a very close and dear friend and is taking some time to mourn.

Well, here we are, and there we go! The gig went well, very well.
I handed out tickets beforehand, and Little Girl was there to take them and usher the audience (my grandmother, step-granddad, mum, dad, and uncle) into their seats (read: living room sofas). Then I hit the (for-one-guitar version of the) opening chord of A Hard Day’s Night .
BANG!!!!!!!!!!!
Full set list under spoiler.
If I Fell (with Little Girl on higher melody)
Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)
Wish You Were Here
I see why Paul can’t stop touring– it’s too much fun! Even when the venue is my grandparent’s living room and the audience is all more or less related to me. Although blasting out Eight Days A Week left me hoarse and my voice was in shreds for Yesterday , the first lyrics of which I mixed up *and I call myself a Beatlemaniac* and I had to skip We Can Work It Out , which I’d planned to do between Yesterday and WMGGW…
but all in all, it was brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I turned ’em on to some new (to them) songs, like No Reply and Apple Scruffs and the Anthology version of WMGGW.
A Hard Day’s Night indeed– but I’m feeling the toppermost of the poppermost just now!

That’s really cool @Beatlebug!
Anyway, yesterday was my last day of school and we had an end-of-year-assembly.
I wasn’t expecting anything special until my friend got up on stage. I knew she was going to sing a song, but I didn’t know which one.
She surprised me because she said that she dedicated this song to me because I was leaving. Everyone stared at me (which wasn’t so fun). Then she began singing ‘For No One ‘. It really was the sweetest thing ever.
And yes, I teared up.
