Offline Well, I seem to be suffering from writer’s block. I haven’t written anything new for at least six months, I’ve only edited previous stories. I’ve composed two songs recently, and have been painting, but when it comes to short-story writing I’m blocked. I don’t know what to do about it.

It’s nothing really. I was worried that a rogue (or hacked) mod was deleting posts at random.
A rogue/hacked mod would be doing far more than a deleting a couple of posts from one thread.

That’s how they would start! They would still act mod like while slowly deleting a few posts here and there so none will be the wiser and in a slow process, gradually deleting some old threads/posts. So that way, the evil Rouge/hacked mod can do more damage to the forum!

Offline Things are coming to a temporary standstill with this job assignment. I’ve got my instructions and documents, but the instructions are very unclear. He says he would call me this morning. He didn’t.

Call him. Some bosses like that, they call it using your initiative.
Other bosses dont, they call it being a pain in the backside. But then they get annoyed the work hasn’t been started and moan at you anyway. Best to go with the first.

I hope we can see her in these parts again before too long.
I was chatting to her just now and she managed to get a bit of sleep last night for the first time since Saturday.

Offline It turns out that the guy who I was offered the temporary job assignment from (my older sister’s boyfriend) forgot to attach a necessary document to an email, which led to my confusion with the instructions. I’ll attempt to get started tomorrow (hopefully he sends it to me by then).

I’m just reading this now, @trcanberra. Give HongKongLady my condolences. I hope she’s doing well. Losing someone you care about is a lousy thing to go through (I’ve had to do it twice this year, unfortunately), but there’s comfort in knowing that they brought enjoyment into your life and vice-versa.

So easy for that to happen. One of my personal rules for email is that as soon as I say “Please see attached …” I attach it on the spot before continuing to compose the email.

Exactly. That’s why I’m not too irked about it. I’ve been guilty of doing the exact same thing in the past.
