Tomorrow is maths paper 2 and Irish paper 1.
Report on Friday: Geography was fine but maths well…I’ll let the newspaper articles speak for it *shudder*. There are three levels for maths: Higher Level (this is Advanced kind of) Ordinary (People who are good to weak at maths i.e. me) and Foundation (people who struggle a lot with maths). A pass (40%+) in maths is necessary to get in to almost every single college here but that paper was a joke. There better be a nice paper 2 or else a lot of people won’t get a college offer, however they have’ll to mark the paper easily as it was nationally criticized for being too difficult while the Higher Level was one of the easiest papers ever given
Irish Paper 1
Time: 2pm-4:20pm (2hrs, 20mins)
Percentage worth: 26% (My oral Irish was worth 40%)
What’s in it: An aural exam- worth 10%
An essay (between 500-600 words) on whatever topic the State Examinations decides to throw at us (please let it be terrorism or violence, please )
And that’s my final double day- it’s singles from then on (thankfully).

Aye I heard of the infamous sweets question- I’m so excited for this week to be over mainly because there’ll be 2 Harry Potter films on the telly on Saturday 😉 (and of course my exams will be over…duh).
I’ll be happy when Tuesday is over as that’s the end of literature questions which are a pain in the a—. Then all I have left is French, Business and German which are all decent subjects.

Wow, all these sad stories, and I’m happily married, employed and contemplating how much to spend on Ebay!!!!!
As some of you may know, I’ve bought the Original UK Beatles LPs over time, and now am seriously thinking about buying the 45 UK singles, since they are not on the LPs.
Someone just outbid me on an original 1967 Fab Strawberry Fields Forever /Penny Lane picture sleeve single. I gotta have the green Parlophone sleeves and black Apple sleeved singles.
What shall I do!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give your money to me.
Watching the Ivory Coast woman play football (its football) and they are one of the worst sides i have ever seen. 4 nil down after 33 minutes and thats with Germany having missed about 5 clear cut chances to score more.
Edit: Now 5 zip.

Yeah, sometimes I almost feel guilty about sharing good news in this thread. Almost.
Then, I remind myself about how I’ve been working my ass off since I was 14 (38 years!), worked hard at my marriage for over 30 years and have always treated people the way I would like to be treated. It’s at that point that I tell myself I deserve everything I’ve worked so hard to achieve.
Anybody notice I’ve used a form of the word “work” three times?
It don’t come easy. Got to pay your dues…
BTW, @Bongo – very glad to see you busted out the old avatar. It’s one of my favorites.

“Time” is the most commonly used noun in the English language……And you’ve both put that in too………
Must help having a Zag who’s a Beatles fan. Both of you have excellent taste.
As for me……
Eight years ago I was able to finish off my mortgage….(a word of french origin meaning Death Contract) and moved abroad.
With good health, money in the bank and drink in the house what more can you want?

My reward for getting bored whilst applying for work. Next its a fight with a lawnmower to cut the grass.

Grass cut. Well almost. So long that still wet when you’ve got it down to a humane level so will go back out in a couple of days when dry and go over it.
About to have a cup of tea, a slice of homemade banana bread and a homemade biscuit.

^I’m jealous! …Anytime Paul…..
Maths was grand and Irish Paper 1 was lovely, Paper 2 tomorrow and I’m tired so I’ll do a half-arsed summary
Time: 9:30-12:35
What’s it worth: 32%
What’s on it: 2 comprehensions, 2 prose questions (on one of 5 stories that we had to study), 3 poetry questions (on one of 5 poems we had to study) and a question on a drama we studied- a really boring paper.
The fact that Paper 1 was so nice makes me afraid that this one will be nasty alas time will tell :/

I’M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We (which means my family and I) went to the beach over the weekend. Three days of sea breezes, driving, too much sand, ferry rides, climbing the (approx.) 240 steps to the top of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse…
and no guitar or Beatles Bible.
I had a fab weekend, but the lack of guitar got pretty gruelling at times. And now Annadog40 is hounding me (oops, no pun intended)… ergh…
