For the past week or so, I’d been in a bit of a funk. Not depression as I’m really not prone to that, but just a general disinterest in many things. I haven’t been on here much, haven’t listened to music, read a book, watched baseball games or done much that I usually enjoy.Then, all of a sudden the fog lifted last night. Me & the Missus went out to the local watering hole for a sandwich and a couple of “tall & frosties”. While sitting at the bar, the original Smokey Robinson version of ‘You Really Got A Hold On Me ’ played – my favorite song the Fabs cover. That sent me into a state of joy. After we’d finished and went home, I could not wait to break out the iPod and listen to some Beatles – The Beatles / Disc 2 in case you were wondering.
Now, the weather is warming up, the birds are singing, the Yankees are in first place and I feel like posting again. Yay Smokey. Yay Beatles.
Good music will do that to you.

Offline The countdown to blast-off begins, and we have hit single digits.
9 days to the divorce court hearing.
Getting excited and nervous and hoping for no complications. I mean, other people get divorced, right? Then again other people manage to sell houses as well.

Offline @meanmistermustard I know you don’t want to read this but I’m gonna say it anyway, as it feels weird not to, especially since you PMed me about it a while ago. I’m very sorry to hear about your loss, and my thoughts are with you.
Now what’s going on in my life? Currently you’ll find me sitting on a couch staring at my computerscreen, trying to write a report on a fictional client. I can’t focus and I can’t think properly, it’s like a part of my brain has been blocked. So I’m procrastinating here in the hope of being able to concentrate all of a sudden soon

Offline Well I did the exam guys and it was so much easier than expected. It lasted for 4 1/2 hours though because the proctors were not the greatest and the previous test ran over. I think I did pretty well

@Linde – my thoughts are with your grandma 🙂
I just made arrangements for what is turning into my vacation for the year. Some may remember my uncle and I are going to a Beatles festival for 2 days (in 2 weeks). We’ve decided to travel from there (Louisiville, KY) to Memphis for 3 nights to see Graceland and hear some Memphis blues. Then Nashville is on the way home…how could we avoid capping off the week in one of the top 5 (or so) music capitols of the world (hmm…london, nyc, san fran, nashville…yeah – oh liverpool qualifies too with its weighted average of [only 4 famous artists] * [tremendous fame of those 4 artists]).
My uncle stays up later, and sleeps much later, than I. So I’ll be able to wander the wonderful old music stores of Tennessee during the mornings-afternoons, which he wouldn’t want to do anyway, and then we can hang together afternoons-nights.

@Matt Busby, don’t for get to have a fried peanut butter and banana sandwich in one of the cafes across from Graceland. Get your fill of Beale Street. B.B. King’s is a great place to eat. There may be some Memphis in May activities going on while you are there.
