Spent most of the day making a dress for a dance I’m going to in a few weeks. It’s a sort of medieval fairy thing, with a slim bodice and leaf/petal things for the skirt. We’ve encountered a few hiccups, but it’s coming together.<snip>
Well, I went to that dance tonight. It was a horrible disappointment. The music was so loud you could hear it from the other side of the earth, I didn’t know anybody, and I was miserable.
“I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party so I’ll go,I would hate my disappointment to show. There’s nothing for me here,so I will disappear…”
I was surprised how well the lyrics fit my situation. Save the expressions of romantic angst, it could almost have been my theme song.

The Beatles Bible House at 910 Penny Lane , Strawberry Fields, Pepperland , on the Apple Rooftop, by invitation only. @Mr. Kite will have to make a note on his clipboard to let non-rooftopper guests up.

Wait . Are you saying that the Beatles Bible House is on Apple rooftop? Did we steal the roof or something?

The BB house can’t be on the rooftop. Members who haven’t reached the rooftop are allowed to live in the BB house.

I just attended an amazing concert: “Tubular Bells for Two” – which seems to have resulted from that popular pub game of seeing how few people you can get by with while performing a piece of music with 20+ instruments in it.

Sorry to hear the dance didn’t turn out like you hoped. There will be better ones.
Was it fun making the dress? Is that something you would pursue as a career?

I want to be a lion tamer! I’ve got a hat from Harrods, it lights up saying ‘Lion Tamer’ in giant neon letters so I can tame the lions after dark when they’re less stroppy but I’m told I should be a chartered accountant .

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe. This has been true for 2016 & 2017 but I may have to get more specific in the future.

Ha, I just watched an old Python episode last week. (The one where Shakespeare helps Beethoven with his symphony, and in return he suggests the title “Hamlet” in place of “David”, which leads Michelangelo to re-title his “Fifth Symphony” sculpture)
