It was externally corrected, probably sent to some numpty who was just out of college and needed some money yet had never set their eyes on an English paper before.

Doesn’t surprise me. I received First Class Honours in my Economics degree and came ‘that’ close to a University Medal. We were graded in our subjects on a 7 point scale with 7 being the highest. My thesis was marked by two external markers and one internal, I received two scores of 7 and one score of 4 – which was just low enough for me to miss out on the medal. The only other 7 I missed out on that year was from one idiot professor who had decided beforehand that he was only going to give out one 7 that year and I came second so received a 6. It’s all so arbitrary sometimes.

14 days to go!

On the 24th it will have been 12 months since my STBE and I separated, assuming it is date-to-date.

Next will be filing for the divorce, wish me luck and a lawyer-free experience.

Maybe I can help you, as a lawyer advice, just settle all the properties with power of attorney if you both agree the arrangements then the divorce will be fine and also you have to arrange about the custody, the Petitioner and the Respondent are both agree for divorce no need to get a lawyer you can do it by yourself

Yes. I’ve stayed home from work many days because of it. I use the phrase “jello tied in tight knots” to describe it.

trc, so, just a fortnight to go. You can make it. We will all have a virtual party when this ordeal is over.

Thanks – Might save it for the divorce being finalised, I suspect STBE will mine the road ahead :)

Yes, terrible. I used to have to vomit the first 2 days or so, but thank God that’s gone. My period is 10 days long, I have incredible stomach cramps, head aches, extreme fatigue and dizzyness, and I get so hot not even hanging out of a window for 15 minutes helps. I also gain about 1.5 kg. Let’s just say I can’t function properly for about a week. I use the pill to procrastinate a bit though, get it once every three months, which is a bit better than every month.

Wonder how it’ll be if I’ll ever have a baby. Contractions will either be a piece of cake or I’ll die.

I really hate periods and feel that they are a huge problem for everyone not just women since

Menstrual symptoms cause over 100 million lost work hours annually for American women; they are the number one reason young women miss school or work. In the developing world menstruation is a factor in adolescent girls leaving school.

Which is a huge problem that often times will get pushed to the wayside or ignored by people.

There are ways to suppress periods with hormonal treatment. More info

There are pills that are stronger, but they carry big risks, like an increasing chance of getting breast cancer, tubercolose and god knows what else. Also, hormonal treatments can have other effects on your exterior as well. I once used a different pill, and I gained weight and my face became all red and spotty with pimples. So err..I’ll just stick with my ”light pill” and use it for 3 months straight. My gynaecologist told me I could just take them all the time, but I don’t want to mess up my body THAT much. Having a period is a natural thing which needs to occur a few times a year, IMO. Anyway, @HongKongLady Is there anything you do to surpress the pain a bit?

In other news, applied for a few internships for next year, and today I had an interview at one of them. It’s in a house with a few people who are mentally disabled, and one of them is physically disabled too. And then there are a few ”normal” people in there, who just have behavioural problems. They all have agression problems. I was excited, as behavioural problems and agression really fascinate me, but when the lady who interviewd me told me I would have to bathe a few of them, I became a bit less enthusiastic. Cooking is alright, even though I can’t cook, if I have to I’ll learn that and will know how to by September, but bathing someone and washing them and all? Hmm. Not sure about that. The 27th of March I will have a bit of a taster. I’m going to join the team for a day to see what it’s like to work there.

I also have 3 other interviews in the next few weeks, at different things. One of them is a youth care and educational thing, one of them is with people who have mild psychiatric problems and one of them is also an organisation with people with a mental disability, I believe. So that’s going well.

Also, the Budapest trip is sorted, so I’m going to Budapest with a group of friends this summer! Whoohoo.

Interesting. There is a Beatles suite at the Aria hotel in Budapest. http://www.tripadvisor.com/Loc…..ngary.html

@Linde, if you go to the Hard Rock Cafe in Budapest, remember to ask them to play Beatles songs for you.

I burned my grilled cheese sandwich because I was peeking at the BB forum. a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Also, “For You Blue ” was stuck in my head, and then, somehow, I don’t know how, it turned into the guitar solo from “She’s A Woman “. It’s done this before. D’you think I’ve gone funny in the head? blue-meanie

Also, I’ve been binge-reading Bakuman, which is a Japanese manga about two students who are trying to be/already are manga artists, and while I normally don’t go in for manga, I’ve found it quite engaging. So now when I close my eyes, I see manga characters, and when I close my ears, I hear “She’s A Woman “. If I’m mad already, well ya know tha reason why.

(Oh, drats, now “Yer Blues ” is floating in their too… paul-mccartney )

I don’t know if we’re going there. They are the kind of people who listen to ”cool obscure indie music” and a few of them think The Beatles are overratedpaul-mccartney
