It was good that you had a great time there. There really is not anything Beatle related here in New Jersey.

I think you should try to relax. I’d imagine she is not snogging him right now. Just think you have a chance. Even if someone else is going out with her, try (I know this is probably hard, yes) to just acknowledge that and try to (for lack of a better term, and this is going to sound really insensitive) deal with it.  It’ll end soon enough. As you know, I’m in a similar situation myself, and I’ve found it’s better to just put on a fake smile. This is really bad advice by the way, so by all means ignore it.

@likedreamersdo16, I’m short, chubby, and was wearing a tie dye and black cap.

Unfortunately, I missed the ol’ Freda movie at 11am.  Turns out she was there in person and did an extended interview!

The atmosphere was incredible.  Wonderful vibes.  People smiling, talking to people next to them in queue…No crowds or pushing, short queues.  And no “pat down” to get in!  There were about 5 thousand people in about 10 acres with 2 stages and a hotel with various things going on I inside.  Peace and love were out in full force 🙂

I could hear a pretty good Beatles tribute band as I approached.  Then another came on, and another.  They played for about 45 minutes andswitched between bands in 15 minutes.

Half of what I say is meaningless...

I feel good in a special way, I'm in love and it's a sunny day

Man I finished this last night but I’m on the phone and I guess it didn’t save.

John Sebastian from the lovin spoonful was, frankly, mediocre.  He told some great stories but his voice sounds like he’s smoked since 1960.

The Beach Boys were a different story. The relevant parts here are, first, the good vibrations again and second, they were really up considering they were playing to about 3k people at most.  Oh, yeah, third:  Mike Love talked about the Beatles a lot.  He talked about their time in rishikesh together, that Paul had shown him a new song (Back In The USSR ) and John showed him Dear Prudence the same day.  He said maharishi had instructed Prudence to meditate in her room until she was “finished” or something equally vague, and she stayed in her room 7 days.  Then they covered the two songs, in order like the White Album starts.  Poor Mike couldn’t hit the high notes in Prudence (let me see you smile-ile-ile-ile…ile) and forgot the entire second verse, but he introduced it as the first time they had ever covered the Beatles (I Saw Her Standing There came later). In fact one joke he made was that their (and all other bands at the time) highest priority was to NOT copy the Beatles a-hard-days-night-george-10

I think the band was surprised at the vibes as well.  Love said repeatedly and vehemently what a great audience we were.  I just think he’s not used to having 75% of the audience singing along with 75% of the lines at any given momenta-hard-days-night-george-10

BTw, if someone hasn’t heard the bootleg of the Beatles and others singing ” happy birthday” to Mike Love in rishikesh, drop me a line :)

Half of what I say is meaningless...

I have to do a presentation about cultures tomorrow, and we actually had to interview an immigrant for that. Only, for some reason we couldn’t really find anyone and my partner didn’t want to go into town and ask random people. So we came up with this Polish lady who moved to the Netherlands. We had to come up with her whole life story and stuff about cultural differences. So far it looks really good, I think we might get away with it. F*****g genius. So that’s what I’m doing.

No.  In fact, the last band to come on Sunday night, had some Beatles-related name like “All together now” (but that wasn’t it).  But they were a Springsteen cover band.  It was totally ruining the high.  No offense to Bruce, Bon Jovi, or the East Coast USA music scene, there’s some good stuff, but it’s not “peace and love” music (they live too hard and fast on the coast, at least we did when i lived there).

Me and another woman I didn’t know were trying to ask the gate attendant if there was another band playing in the hotel but he was running on about directions for me to get to the highway which i had already committed to memory having heard 3 times…so i just left, not sure where she went.  it was late, and i had a long drive home (i ended up getting a room a half hour down the road, didn’t want to fall asleep driving y’know).

@MrMoonlight:

There is a chance that she’s as confused and hurt as you are. As a girl, I know that we girls sometimes do things that confuse boys, and most of the time it even confuses us when we think about it. A lot of times, when we are hurt, we set out to replace the thing we lost. So if she has a new boyfriend, she may just be trying to comfort herself through her pain. And, she may go home everyday debating if what she is doing is right or wrong, and that can be very hard for a girl to go through. And, a lot of times, the result is that the girl continues even though deep inside, she knows it’s wrong because she knows it’s causing pain for you too. Most of the time, girls end up doing what they actually feel is right, but sometimes, we need a little help to get started. So, maybe you should leave a note or text her saying that you still feel things for her, that you’re confused about why she left, and ask if you two could talk and resolve everything. I know that if I got a simple-but-heart-felt note like that, I would probably end up talking to the guy. But, I would suggest to give it some time before you get started on writing a letter right now. Let her have some time because she could realize that she’s been wrong and come to you first. But for right now, turn some happy Beatles songs, watch a comical movie, or do something to make yourself feel better that doesn’t remind you of her. Hope this helps heart

(P.S. Even though you’re a guy, sometimes it doesn’t hurt to shed a tear.)

Maybe shouldnt say this but well done.apple01

I made up every word of my college paper after the service user never turned up for the meeting despite being reminded 2 hours beforehand – it was a major part of the grade and there was no other option except fail. The feedback i got was that from reading the report they could tell how much benefit the service user got from the meeting. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Seriously. If anything goes wrong with your college/school work make it up. And if ever questioned strenuously deny doing so and insist it all happened.

Studying, studying and studying. I feel like I’m getting nowhere. I barely have any time to sit down with all the guests and celebrations around me, and this is the one exam I must have all points on.

Is the anyone out there who’s really good with English grammar and would like to help me out? Please PM me.

I’ve been working out some chords for a song of mine, Elizabeth. I actually really like them now. It no longer sounds like Working Class Hero – it’s my own chord set.

Oh, and I’m also gonna make a normal version (to be released first) and a massively extended version. Probably to be leaked when I’m rich and famous a-hard-days-night-george-10

I’m writing my song, Elizabeth. I’ll show you the first verse.

There are days of our lives
In which we wish that we could see
There are loves for which we strive
For what could have been

But I know we’ll never
Get the answer I once knew

Should be right, ’cause I love you

Elizabeth
