They’d have just put me in hospital over Christmas, @meanmistermustard, when I just had a cough and cold. Get a dodgy heart, they don’t like chest infections, especially when you live alone. It puts more pressure on the heart or something. That’s why I’m the priority list for the flu jab (for all the good it’s done this year!). I was at the Doctors two days after the type of pain switched from aching ribs to spear through chest! I recognised that it was no longer a straight cough and cold. Hospital is just one of downsides of a dodgy heart. Glad I avoided Christmas and New Year in hospital!

Nice Dubai lady seems happy I am ‘back in circulation’. We are SLOWLY getting to know one-another. I am attempting to keep the whole sleep thing going which is a challenge with the time difference. No red flags so far, but I will keep you posted.

Is this a sequel or the 2nd half of the movie? Don’t forget she had been introduced early in the story only to fade into the background for a time while the doomed HK obsession took over

I reactivated my Facebook account to make communication across widely differing time zones a LITTLE easier. I forgot how much I like and dislike it. I like it because I have managed to track down some old friends I had lost touch with and we have had some great catching-up. I dislike it because many ‘friends’ were not – I fixed the latter by heavily trimming, including removing my STBE, I suspect it wouldn’t be a good idea for her to see and comment on posts from my new friend in Dubai

I was interested to see it suggested adding @Ron Nasty as a friend, I wonder which part of the cyber-snooping world it pulled that from?

Due to all my shenanigans lately I have taken to leaving my mobile on at night in case anyone might get in touch (just ask @Ahhh Girl what time I replied to an email a few days ago!). I was very tired last night and a little unwell so I turned it off. And of course Dubai Lady tried to contact me at a time when she is usually sound asleep. So now I have to wait another 7 hours or so to see what it was all about – if anything.

Okay, I am off to breakfast, a little seedy, sleepy and confused. The day WILL improve if I have to grab it by the scruff of the neck and force it to.

I feel so seedy I should be in Bangkok with my middle child just now – my image of the place suits the way I am feeling at the moment. I need to be staggering around the neon lights of an Asian city at sunset.

She spent yesterday looking for an aquatic park she saw on a brochure in the hotel lobby. She’s getting to know the local transport so hopped on a bus, went on a long ride across town and got off at the required place. Spent an hour trying to get directions from the locals. Ended up on the wrong side of the place and spent a while getting to the entrance. Just to find the place had closed down a few months back. 90 minutes back to the hotel. Hot and bothered – but I guess an experience to remember. It was the only day she didn’t have a planned activity as they cancelled the day tour she had arranged due to lack of numbers. Never mind, the scuba diving today will perk her up.

That’s the way our local weather prognosticators were the other day. Then, when we recieved nary a flake, they were all
