I was only a casual fan the first time I made my list. And now I’ve heard pretty much everything available. Cry of Love is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time, Axis went on because it had too many good ones I’d have to add to the last album.
Same with Legend, even though I don’t love every song on it, there are too many I do to not add it… At least for this moment. We’ll see where I am in another year!

I think Electric Ladyland is my favourite Jimi album, as an album, it’s got its own sound. I love too much of his stuff across all the albums anyway, so it’d be impossible to choose anything definitively.

I also really love Electric Ladyland, but it is hard to pick, which I guess is the whole exercise here.
It’s interesting to see how tastes change.

The original criteria from post #1:
In this, you get to choose the 10 (studio) albums to be the only ones you can listen to for the rest of your life. But, here’s a twist: you can take an eleventh album, with 14 songs that aren’t on the 10 you already chose.
Albums:
The Beatles – Revolver
Kansas – Leftoverture
Elton John – Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
Grateful Dead – American Beauty
The Allman Brothers Band – Eat A Peach
Elvis Costello – Armed Forces
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Déjà Vu
The Band – Music From Big Pink
The Clash – The Clash
The Beatles – Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band
Bonus Tracks:
The Beatles – Rain
The Beatles – Hey Bulldog
David Bowie – Ziggy Stardust
Bach – Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 In G Major
Blue Oyster Cult – Before the Kiss (A Redcap)
U2 – The Miracle (Of Joey Ramone)
Foghat – Slow Ride
Charlie Rich – Mohair Sam
Buddy Holly – Rave On
Eric Clapton – Let It Grow
Head East – Never Been Any Reason
Jimi Hendrix – Red House
Led Zeppelin – Rock And Roll
Smokey Robinson & The Miracles – Tears Of A Clown
I’d mourn the rest, but I could do a lot worse.
