I doff my chapeau to Mr. Costello – I've always been a big fan of his. It's nice to see he has principles.

On an unrelated note, Elvis did a wonderful version of Penny Lane  at Paul's Gershwin Award ceremony. The ceremony was recently broadcast here in the U.S. on PBS. I just found a website that allows you to watch the ceremony. I'll start a separate thread for it.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Oh please do. Elvis did All You Need Is Love at Live Aid too.

This is going a bit off-topic, but apparently the early collaborations Costello and McCartney did for Flowers In The Dirt were scrapped because EC wanted it to be experimental and PM was in his mainstream big studio production days (he needed a hit he could tour with).

Also EC learnt to sing harmonies from Beatles records, and when he joined in on songs with PM he found himself subconsciously singing a 'John Lennon ' part. PM apparently didn't like that and the recordings fell apart. They did write some stuff together though – my favourite is So Like Candy on Mighty Like A Rose, a brilliant song.

Oh! Just found a demo of it they did together:

That made me imagine taking a sign to the Paul concert with “www.beatlesbible.com” written on it. Maybe I should have done that. And written “Fab Forum” underneath it. And “Join–PLEASE!”

I'm going to a paul mccartney concert on the 19th…I'll make sure to make him check this site out! brian-epstein

Why they never can see Beatlesbible ?a-hard-days-night-john-4a-hard-days-night-george-7

...They've forgotten all about God

He's the only reason we exist...

Joe said back in 2010

I had to get in touch with Paul’s people at MPL for something related to my day job last month. I should have told them about the site but didn’t.

If I met Paul McCartney , I’d like to know:

Who sang that bloody part of A Day In The Life , you or John?
Why Leave My Kitten Alone was left off Beatles For Sale .
Would you sue me if I put Beatles lyrics or videos on the site? (probably not for the former as he doesn’t own them)
Can I have a personalised message for the website please? A photo of you holding up the URL would do. Thanks.

And 5 years later, @Joe is still wondering why Leave My Kitten Alone was left off Beatles For Sale : https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..3/#p176171
