Hopefully we’ll have another election within a year and we can get things back on track.
Kudos to that!
I stayed up till 1:00am. I was expecting the result to be far worse prior to the exit poll!

I’m glad the Conservatives didn’t get their much crowed about majority, instead ending up in a mess. Ok, they will probably get together with the DUB but they are apparently less reliable than a particularly hungry mouse who’s been asked to guard your cheese.
I’m also glad the SNP got a large slap about the face as I hope it stops their smug “we’re great, let’s focus entirely, and place everything on Independence #2” so they get back to tackling Education, the Care system, keeping the Tories out of Scotland and everything else that’s slid in the last few years.
I got up at 1:30am, watched thru most of the night and went straight into work for a 10.5 hour shift in the morning. I’m knackered.

The idea of the DUP propping up the Tory Government is, in my opinion, disgusting.
A party backed by terrorists. While Sinn Fein has abandoned terrorist links, the DUP hasn’t.
Even worse, the UK Government are meant to act as “honest brokers” in the Irish situation. How can they possibly be a neutral arbitrator between Sinn Fein and the DUP when they are relying on DUP votes in Westminster to prop them up?
In these circumstances, I think Sinn Fein should take their Westminster seats, as it is only their refusal to take those seats that allows the DUP to give the Tories a majority.
And don’t even mention their disgusting attitudes to LBGT rights, abortion, etc…

The problem for the Conservatives is that without the DUP they do not have enough seats to have a majority government which leaves them in all kinds of trouble going forward. They are crapping themselves over getting rid of May as it would spark all kinds of backstabbing and chaos inside and they cannot risk another election as there is every chance of losing to Labour. Their only hope is to keep May in charge and nothing shakes the boat, however, they are heading into a massive storm whilst a number of people in the boat are desperate to throw their Captain over.
I’ve always liked Corbyn as he comes over as a really nice guy, for so long utterly useless as the leader of Labour but you’d happily have a chat with him; a decent politician with morals and beliefs he sticks with even tho he has to put some of them to the side for the sake of his Party, which is fair enough. That so many of his Party wanted him gone, and tried to get rid of him god knows how many times yet failed miserably, only made Labour a joke and gave Corbyn sympathy. For the election he turned up and showed leadership skills and has been impressive. One reason I voted Labour was because of Corby who is likeable and different to most politicians you wouldn’t trust to pass you the salt for your chips. Yes, their policies were incredibly positive and different but in no way were they affordable; we’d be selling our kidneys to China within weeks to pay for nationalising the railyways or to get the £800bn or whatever it was they promised to the NHS.

I voted Labour in spite of Corbyn, knowing that there was no way Jo Johnson wouldn’t take the seat for the Conservatives (majority, 17,200!).

27-storey residential tower block in West London is in flames from the second floor to the top.
Has been burning for around three-and-a-half hours. 40 engines and 200 firefighters in attendance. Live pictures – as it’s getting light – what appears to be well over fifty percent of the building is still in flames.

Hillary isn’t in the line of succession. You have a clear set of rules for who replaces in the case of the removal of a President for whatever reason. Lyndon B. Johnson, Vice-President, replaced JFK, and Nixon was replaced with Vice-President Gerald Ford. First legal go to would be Mike Pence, then it would be Speaker of the House of Representatives, Paul Ryan, then Orrin Hatch, top Republican in the Senate, then Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, until you get to the last Republican standing… and even then it would be the Democratic Head in the House of Representives…

Bernie is the best. I feel he would make a good president.
Though America doesn’t realise just how great Obama was…

If Trump went down, then pence would most likely also go down. Paul Ryan would most likely be president in that case.

I don’t think they have anything to pin on Pence at this stage anyway.
I might actually be just as unhappy with a Pence presidency – while he, unlike Trump, has principles, I find his principles utterly disagreeable.

I’m not sure how Pence would be able to avoid the Russia thing if Trump gets pinned.

I reckon the majority of Trump’s inner circle are involved in their own way so I can’t see how Pence would survive.
I agree that Paul Ryan would be the most likely candidate to take Trumps place.
