I know the perfect consequence for Ron Nasty.
We forcefully rename him to Don Happy and make him use this as his profile picture.

Anyways, carrying on, I hope you guys realize that Trump isn’t like Hitler in the sense that he can’t just do as he pleases, everything has to go through congress first.
While not suggesting that Trump is a Hitler (though, as I have said before, Hitler was elected and slowly removed the checks and balances that should have stopped him, usually with huge popular support. Trump isn’t a Hitler, but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t become one unless abuses of the constitution are confronted), however, in what way do Executive Orders need to go through Congress. I thought that was the point of them, that they bypass the Congress and Senate.
Are you suggesting the Congress and Senate approved the Executive Order on restricting travel by citizens of seven mainly Muslim countries that virtually every American court (bar, I think, 1 hearing in Boston) has deemed unconstitutional? If not, and I know the answer is not, then not everything needs to go through Congress first.

What’s Trump have against muslims, they’re just like asians, jews, gays, blacks, retards, cripples, or any other group that get made fun of, what’s so different about muslims that they shouldn’t be allowed in the US, is Donald actually stupid enough to think that all muslims are extremists.

We don’t have to worry about Trump becoming a Hitler. He’s not smart enough nor does he have the support. It seems to me that most people do not like him. I don’t personally know anyone who would say he was an ideal candidate (even those who voted for him). I know he does have people who love everything he does, but that is a very small group of people.

Any idea what sort of powers the president can assume during wartime? Any idea how easy it would be for him to justify a skirmish or even an invasion? He’s already making loud public noises complaining about constitutional checks and balances. The current makeup of congress will pose no significant challenge to him – he has demanded and received obedience from the republican congressional leadership who are happy to ride his coattails with their own agenda. He is already busy questioning the whole concept of judicial independence.
There is something like a coup in progress. Maybe that sounds hysterical…I sincerely hope history proves me wrong, but I won’t sit complacently under the assumption that he can’t really do anything outrageous when he clearly already has.

There is a very vocal minority that supports him and a vast, vast majority that is complacent, apathetic or ignorant. It’s that majority that allows dictatorships to happen.

If Donald Trump started trying to take away our constitutional/human rights, that complacent majority would no longer be complacent. He is not a dictator, and people comparing him to dictators are being very histrionic. He hasn’t even been in office a month.

And he is most definitely trying to take away constitutional rights.

Pastor Martin Niemöller on the spread of Nazism, and the part he played in making himself a victim:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out — Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out — Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out — Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me — and there was no one left to speak for me.
These, both quotes, are important words to remember in days such as these.

Not that I was meaning for that to be disrespectful, but you don’t have to respect your elders when you are an elder yourself (like me). Also, I am a female.
She is the youngest Granny I know. I don’t think she can even vote yet and she’s already in the nursing home.

What constitutional/human rights is he trying to take away?
He has clearly stated that he believes the US should favour Christians from mainly Muslim countries when it comes to refugees, breaking the constitution on the grounds of religious discrimination, and international human rights laws in that refugees, under the Geneva Convention and every other refugee accord, does not allow for the banning of genuine refugees on the grounds of race or religion, and yet part of his travel ban is to ban every Syrian refugee indefinitely…
Court after court has found his seven country ban unconstitutional, what are they getting wrong? Are so many of your countries judges, who’ve spent a career doing what they’re doing, getting what the American constitution says he can do wrong?
There will be an ultimate decision, but the judges do seem to keep the telling former reality star to feck off.
And the stupid thing is, if the barsteward put it through using the Congress and Senate, the courts wouldn’t have a problem. It is the method he is using that is being found illegal. But he will never try to get something so outrageous through the Congress and Senate because he knows they would quickly kick his ass into touch. So, as happened here recently on Brexit cases, you attack judges for upholding your countries laws and brand them as some sort of traitor to your country –
See the PRESIDENT of the United States constantly declaring on Twitter that judges who disagree with him are not upholding the Constitution and laws of your land but are aiding terrorists and threatening national security.
Attacking the judges is an attack on your constitutional rights, because they are there to defend you from unrestricted actions by your President and Government.
